for the last month and a half I've been planning on putting together an new personal MT-G2 light from a UF-F10 but just now went to order and tmart is out of stock and it looks like the only other places are pretty shady. Does anyone have one they want to sell me? As near stock (cheap) as possible please, can even be completely blown up as long as its a usable host, this will be a personal light so I'm not concerned about dents and dings or a smudge on the reflector or something.

Hey cereal, what’s good about this host for a MTG2?
Overall size and shape (I’m looking for a light that’s easy to cary for extended periods, especially on night hikes threw thick woods), the momentary switch at the tail (I prefer momentary FW’s but I’m not a big fan of most lights side button location). The cell carrier is kind’a strange (the factory driver may even run a 6v, not sure tho and I don’t care, I’ll be making my own anyway).
I need one of these things before 10/15, can DX soul get it here if I order tonight?
I always like hearing about other dudes with wife’s who carry a bigger light, my wife EDC’s an HD2010 in her purse that makes 1020Lm and throws 66kcd (low output cause of S6 bin XM-L2) and she pulls it out all the time, damn I love that woman, makes my eyes tear up just thinking about it. On the same topic my sister, who lives in the basement, also carries a good size light, either an EagleEye X6 with RGBW_Clicky for her EDC (she’s a country gift and sometimes ever wears it in a belt holster out riding at night) and now I just got her a Balder SE1 clone I’m installing my driver for RGBW_Clicky in for when she does need something smaller.
Anyway, I don’t especially like the red but I like that it’s not black or grey.

Do what? MT one of these? Someone did that a while ago using a dd FET driver, I’m thinking ill be the first using a true buck driver, should increase efficiency quite a bit.
Note efficiency gets totally fucked do to the current being carried threw the carrier and the horrible connections, I’ve dealt with these connections converting a TK series fenix to linear and its really bad, that’s why I’m hoping to install my driver in the head, not in the carrier, so the current threw the carrier / connection is high side and the bucking doesn’t happen till the head where it’s delivered to the emitter.
Yes, I have been playing with the though for quite a long time. I planned to solder brass ring (same as is on the head pcb) to the spring contacts so the connection would have a much larger surface.
I have this light in MT-G2. The driver is 5 amps l-m-h-strobe-sos modes (manufaturer claimed only 4 modes). The pill and the beefy reflector sandwich the LED very well. Also have an extra XM-L2 head for some pretty good throw. It’s a favorite light of mine Vinh did the work.
