Having recently purchased a Convoy M21B sporting GT-FC40 4000K I knew I had to have a 5000K as well. Unfortunately Simon was sold out so I (regrettably) turned to Banggood who claimed to still have some in stock. Well… the light has arrived, correctly labelled as 5000K, but turns out it’s exactly the same as my 4000K :cry: .
Before I try my luck with their infamous customer service, is there anyone in the UK who has a GT-FC40 5000K, either bare or on MCPCB, that would be happy to sell or trade with me? Pretty please :innocent: .
I have M21B 5000K but it is not even close to 5500K. In central spot it is over 6700K in the spill it is like 5500K and the tint it is under BBL. I tested it with my Opple lux meter. 4500K which I have in M21C it is exactly around 4500K.
I have the 5500k with soft DC fix and AR coating removed. CCT at 5700K on average I guess, the center is a bit cooler. Below BBL for sure. It’s one of my favorite tint.
Have you contacted Simon to check if he is going to get more of them anytime soon?
That’s really bad news. I also like 5500k version a lot. Maybe 5500k not selling very good and Simon is decided to not restock it again. 5500K have also better output compared to 4500K

I needed to deal them about my defective Wildtrail WT3M before Christmas. Several times I needed to proof my defect and make videos for that and to explain over again that to them. Finally I win battle with them and they refund me. So if you can’t proof that your version it is not exactly 5000K don’t expect any result from them. They will just tell you there is not problem at all. For me I had to deal with them with slow responses over two weeks. My advice is just use your M21B as it is, 4500K FC40 is not terrible at all
