WTS seller warning list

https://sh.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/1b3nluw/psa_dont_use_magnets_on_batteries/

Dude on reddit used it in the positive side, big no-no with any loose spacer.

Anyway it was just a suggestion.

Wait a minute, this flashlight has an independent center tube, does it not?
Pull the tailcap and use small piece of wire of your choice, connect by hand negative battery terminal to side of tube and hey, Jed’s a millionaire to test if it comes on.

They STILL owe a replacement.
How this crap gets out the door especially when you are sending them looking for positive reviews is just, well,…insert your own favorite word

Have fun, Later

Any updates from/about @EDCwrap and @SAOPRKLER ?

1 Thank

Nope, not yet for @SAOPRKLER.

Not from EDCWrap either. I got my refund from PayPal last night.

OK, @EDCwrap has been added to the warning list.

As for @SAOPRKLER , let’s give him 1 more week in case it’s something related to the Chinese holiday break.

Looks like a reply was provided in another thread.

2 Thanks

I received a functioning flashlight! :slightly_smiling_face:
That, of course, means that @sb56637 should not add the user @SAOPRKLER to the naughty list (based on my account.)

@sb56637 @zoulas Hi, I found the thread that zoulas got scammed on. This was not me, I live in Colorado, not Spain and do not use any @yahoo email addresses. I have reset my password and everything from me will have timestamps and be legitimate. I have multiple previous sales on reddit’s r/flashlight [WTS] under this same username.

@fizzgig @sb56637 I reviewed the messages sent between someone who hacked my account (I was able to see an unknown login from The Netherlands) and fizzgig for that Acebeam. I’m sorry that this happened to you. I have reset my password and set up 2FA so this does not happen in the future. I haven’t been on BLF lately so I was unaware this was happening. You can search this same username on reddit and see that I have multiple successful sales on r/flashlight’s [WTS] section. Most of my lights will have emitter swaps and/or be Cerakoted. I’m glad PayPal was able to take care of you at least.

Hi @EDCwrap , thanks for the fast reply. Could you please confirm approximately during what time period your account was compromised and being used by somebody else? Thanks a lot!

The login from The Netherlands was on January 20th of this year and it was definitely someone else. Reviewing all the PM’s this guy sent, he really tried to make things look legit.

Added @Toner to the warning list and suspended the account due to:

Please note that this person only sent private messages to offer their product, since they probably did not have sufficient permissions to post in Want to Sell . So please be extremely suspicious of any offers sent to you by new and/or unknown users via PM.

1 Thank

Added @Spark to the list due to a PM report and failure to respond to my inquiry about the reported transactions. If there is some misunderstanding then @Spark can still contact me (and only me) via PM.

Please do not engage with unknown users that send unsolicited offers via PM, as mentioned here:

Not in the Buy / Sell > Want to Sell category, but this new user sent a bunch of offers via PM to different BLF users:

His intro was suss, zero info or interest.

Yup, super sketch message too.

I need to be very emphatic about the importance of NOT responding to unsolicited offers via the BLF private message system. Please DO report them instead.
