I’m not sure yet. I plan to wait and see how much the price goes up. I’m shopping the lights around locally trying to get as much as possible. I am not going to be the first or second guy to sell a box set on BLF.

Keep in mind the price might not go up if Banggood sells the lights as a regular items. Why pay a premium for a wooden box and serial numbers? A boxed set just sold for 115.

Yep, sold my set #148 for $115. If you’re looking to get much more than the discounted price that you paid for your lights then you are in the wrong place. BLFers pretty much know what the lights are worth…plus if the price it too steep, there’s other nice lights to be had…
Yes you are all correct. The market will indeed determine the price of the limited set, 6 months from now. I don’t believe I have anything to lose by waiting.
It is going to be interesting where resale values will be 6 months from now. There were many buyers of multiple sets in the first 250. How many are looking for quick profits? Buy three, sell two, you got one for free. It happens with New issue GEC knives all the time.
Like djburkes said in post #13 above, BLF is just the wrong place. I think you’ll be better off selling in a different market, like eBay or maybe even some place local to yourself.

There will undoubtedly be something new, and very cool, available around then. Just as each GB has advanced in different ways, the next one will too, although maybe not in terms of materials used. I don’t think there will be a huge upside, as the next big thing will be the next big thing.
Trade is also about letting someone have profit, for example, I do not mind paying a little extra for the same light buying it from Simon.
I fear your early indicating you want to make a profit of this special set could make less people want you to. There are surely people who really wanted a set but could not get one, they might not like it that others merely bought it for gain and they are the ones paying more at Christmas 2017 when the market has made the price gone up. And I agree that BLF and the other forum are good places to sell special torches since people not crazy about them could care less about an expensive bozed set.
I advise you to be friendly and hope all who had read this thread will forget it by the time you rally want to sell it so you can actually make the profit you so long for.
(one starts thinking when a really special groupbuy is in the making everybody who asks for more then 1 set should only get 1 spot on a primairy list and the extra on a secundairy list only to become available when the primairy list is supplied or when the primairy list is not long enough to make it happen. 3 meaning 1 on the primairy list and 2 on the stand-by list. But hey just two little lumens in a obscure dealing thread :laughing:
