would prefer to trade rather than sell individually; but if i have too…the noctigon i got from Jackson so it was a few more bucks, and ill throw in a shorty tube and carry clip, so maybe like $60-65?
i have 3 kr1’s at the moment - a w1, sft40 and the sbt90, so unfortunately the kr1w1 barely gets used with those other guys in the mix
i also have a lumintop gt mini nm1 and gt micro nm1 which i love…
and the astrolux sfs80 which i will admit i purchased before closely reading the description (i thought it had anduril or narsil)
i would absolutely consider something larger or much more than 100kcd; im def open to suggestions; im pretty new to the enthusiast flashlight world - jumped in with both feet though and now cant get enough…
So it makes much more sense that you have other KR1's and want to get rid of the W1. Cool.
the first light I thought of for a trade was a (almost new) nm1 GT Mini. Lol. Sounds like you have that covered.
I really don't know what I have for throwers at the moment, over 100kcd, that I would actually want to part with. I'll keep thinking about it tho. I'm interested im the W1 KR1 bc for awhile now I've been wanting to build a 219b kr1. The W1 version has a 5 amp driver, and I have run 219b at 5amps before so it should work well.
I would suggest you buy what you want, and sell what you no longer want. You’ll most always end up losing a bit of money, but hey, it’s a hobby, not an investment vehicle

the more i think about it, the more i waiver as to whether another thrower is what i _really_need; while i dont have a k1 i am in pretty decent shape there…
i am just basically building my collection so i’m open to non-thrower options as well; curious - what are you looking to part with? maybe we can still help each other out; i only have 1 emisar and basically no other brands, i dont own a single modded light (yet)!

As usual, your builds always sound interesting. Does this one require some finagling or is it something Hank can also do easily? What would you expect it to do? Have some spill but a also a somewhat “hottish” hotspot in the middle? Would you expect it to somewhat feel like a thrower or would it still be more generally floody?
Also, if I remember correctly, 5amps is the semi-unofficial limit for 219B. Would that actually run safely at 5a over time if regulated to that, or is it borderline to where your still running a risk? If I remember correctly, that may put out 700+ lumen or something like that. Almost pretty sure I remember this all being pretty sound, but since you’ve done it, figured I’d ask. Thanks Artie

hey there, sorry been a busy couple of days. I am having a hard time finding some trades i may have, so i will say open it up to the sales forum. I think youre right, that KR1 will sell wuick at least, and i am pretty interested in the astorlux as i had one and sold it, and i have wanted to try some mre mods to it since i let it go. But i will get back you once i find something with your new interest list. But if you get a willing buyer, move on that !
So the reason i feel confident with running the 219b sw30 at 5 amps, is because i had done it for about a month in a C8 host i bought from simon that i put his 5amp 17mm diameter driver in it. It was an awesome "thrower". I dont want to guess on the candela, but it was probably half of a xpl-hi maybe? but it still had a pronounced hotspot and decent throw (mind you the C8 has a 44mm head and a KR1 has about a 36mm head). so the C8 will throw at least 25% further. But this is why im interested in a 219b KR1, bc it should be an excellent mix of throw and spill, both being almsot equally bright as each other. 5amps is the official "max" amperage for a 219b, but with simons driver it was no problem. I will procede with caution, but i think it would be fine. Worst case, i could finally open up my Hank Flashing tool and set the UI to 80% turbo output. But i would definitely try to run it at 100% first ( i have plenty of 219b to run this test with), and the resources to remove the led if i burn it out. lol.
