Wuben X1 Pro Kickstarter: Need Community Push for High CRI XHP50.3 HD Flood Option! (SFT42R & Ramping Confirmed)

Hi everyone,

The Wuben X1 Pro on Kickstarter is shaping up to be a truly incredible light, especially since Wuben seems to be actively listening to community feedback.

Great News from the Comments:

Throw Channel: Wuben is now testing the SFT42R to replace or be an option alongside the XHP50.3 HI for the throw channel. This should give a nice boost in candela for long-range performance.
User Interface: They have also confirmed that Stepless Dimming (Ramping) will be implemented, which is a major win for usability.

The Final Push: High CRI Flood

We have one last chance to make this light a winner for enthusiasts: securing a High CRI option for the quad-LED flood channel.

The current flood emitters are 4x Cree XHP50.3 HD (6500K, ~70 CRI). The simple and best solution would be for Wuben to offer the 4000K or 5000K XHP50.3 HD with 90+ CRI as a factory option. This is a part they already source and would greatly increase the quality of the light, making it a truly versatile light-and-power bank solution.

Action Item:

If you are a backer, please take 30 seconds to post a quick comment on the Kickstarter page supporting the High CRI XHP50.3 HD option! Let’s show Wuben the demand is there.

That would be great!
It seems the throw channel is already in progress.
Now let’s push for the flood channel with warm LEDs — and, if possible, high CRI!
Go!!!”

Honestly X1 Pro seems like an impressive flashlight. I just joined their Kickstarter campaign and after searching Wuben on Reddit r/flashlight I got the impression that they are not really trustworthy and cancelled my pledge. Did you guys pledge for them before? How is you experience?

I’d wait until it goes to retail then buy it. You’d be getting a final production version that’s had all thr bugs worked out. My tester underperformed and rhe charging was pretty slow. Still a really impressive light for what it is. Matches or beats much larger lights
