The latest release from Wuben is here, the X2 is a new and exciting flashlight from the company. A stunning contemporary look. As well as a very compact and pocket friendly size (85mm x 39mm x 20mm), it has a lightweight body weighing just 115 grams.
The X2 also known as the “Owl” features a triple LED layout, in a choice of 2 LED types.
The Osram P9 is capable a maximum output of 2500 lumens, and 146 metres
Samsung LH351D offers up a top end output of 1800 lumens, and 128 metres with a warmer Kelvin tint.
There are 3 colors a Black, White, and Gradient Ramp (Blue/White), as well as a Copper Edition.
Wuben has also developed a new Micro-Arc Oxidation Ceramic Coating – this durable finish resists marking and abrasions, a Type III Hard-Anodized finish for the black model,
6 Output modes including 4 power levels and an SOS and Strobe
4 main power levels – 5-2500 (or 1800) lumens. A low power setting lets you see up close without overbearing light useful for reading maps or documents – or being discrete, when you wish to push up the power intermediate settings of 100 and 400 lumens. Finally, a night breaking Turbo mode gives you a wide powerful beam easily lighting up large areas. Run times vary from 80 hours at the lowest output, up to 1 hour in the Turbo mode.
In addition, the X2 has a strobe mode of 1000 lumens, and an SOS of 200 lumens
Unique rugged body design with IP68 water resistance and high-capacity battery
The unusual look to the X2 is also a unique and practical. Bevelled edges improve grip and comfort, a hole for the lanyard – and a strong clip ensures the Wuben X2 will stay firmly in place whatever you clip it to. As the clip is screwed into place, you can decide to keep it in place or leave it off.
On the side a cover for the USB also doubles as the main switch with Type-C charging port and the LED indicator light. The LED has 4 levels showing the charge status of the X2, the combination of blue and red LEDs, lets you quickly see how much charge is left. Charging is also easy with the red status for charging, and automatic shut off which displays blue.
This flashlight features a large-capacity battery of 2000mAh, with a long run time for such a small size. Charging can be done via the supplied Type- C lanyard/charging cable, with a full re-charge in around 3 hours. This provides an easy way to carry the X2, and can also be used to charge other USB – C devices such as phones and tablets.
This attractive design isn’t just for looks, with weather resistance to IP68 (can be submersed in water), it also is drop proof up to 1 metre. Thermal regulation ensures the X2 always remains in safe operating temperature limits.
