Is the Wurkkos FC11C very similar to the old Super budget Sofirn S11C. The Sofirn was the best budget flashlight I ever ran across but have lost all buy one at this point and need a few more similar lights.
They are similar in that they both use an 18650 battery and they have onboard USB-C charging.
The FC11C is longer and has a fixed reflector.
The S11C was a Zoomie.
In my opinion the FC11C is far superior, however if Zoom and Size(Length) are a major factor for you, it might not be what you’re looking for.
Thanks, zoom is actually pretty handy but far and few between with the budget lights
I have two S11C because they were so cheap back then. I thought like you, great lights, until I took one apart.
The LEDs have zero contact to the case, they are seated inside a plastic holder inside the tube. No cooling whatsoever.
As far as zoomies go, this one is not half bad:

You can unscrew the bezel and change the LED like I did. The only negative is, that the switch is pressed in
Fc11c you can put a short tube and use 18350 battery. If you do that, recommend charging battery outside the light or using low wattage older charger brick. You can order short tube and battery on Wurkkos.com.
Also sofirn sc13 (5000k) not bad for a thumb sized light(make sure you get the nichia 519a one). A tad fatter than fc11c shorty but also a little shorter.
The SK98 used to saturate the Amazonian rainforest, and those were awesome IF you got a good one.
They were cloned out the arse, and you could get spectacular ones like I got, or pieces of shiite like the gf got when she liked mine enough to order one for herself.
In fact, that experience is what put her off lights for a loooong time.
And yeah, I offered mine, but nope.
(68=AA, 98=18650)
Check out Ultrafire E5 if you insist on zoomie, 18650, round die led, int charging, tail-forward switch activation and side switch for mode selection. Heres a vid by @Rusty_Joe

Nope.
The origin of the FC11C, which itself is an evolution of the FC11, began with the Sofirn SC31.
The SC31 begat the SC31B, then the SC31 Pro, and the FC11, which are of the same generation.
None of them are zoomies.
The SC11C isn’t even the biological offspring of the Jinba clan. It was adopted from another family (maker) and took the Sofirn name.
Neat history on the S11C. I’ve been trying to find one of them for a bit with no luck as well
seemed like the cheap price kept people from holding onto them over the years and/ or build quality
