XHP series is not designed for flashlight use??

I feel like a CAVEMAN these days, seriously….

while i was ONCE a “cool programmer dude”??

— I was completely ignorant of the “internet” for the longest time
— perl/python/”internet crap” programming makes NO sense to me… i have tried books, LMAO
— why cant i fathom programming the “LCD screens” like i want to?
— or make heads nor tails out of the “flashlight code”?? LMAO
— when i wanted to learn to download/burn MOVIES?? I had to “consult” 15 year olds, lmFao…
— the list goes on, lol

no… i feel very, very stupid plenty of times… its a humbling experience, which is probably good for me, LMAO

I’m one of those folks that have had the same email address for over 20 years. I used to be pretty good at Basic programming. During the old DOS days my kids thought that typing the command “Dir” was pretty funny. I remember paying $400 for 4 Megs of RAM. The past 30 years have been simply amazing. Not all of it has been that great, seeing kids with their heads buried in a smart phone all the time, doesn’t seem like such a good idea. But I keep plodding away, I have always loved the Tech stuff.

The last language I programmed was Second Life script, for a virtual reality social medium. I did birds and airplanes that moved more or less according to the laws of physics and aerodynamics, instead of like boats or in straight lines like other people’s flying objects. It uses a physics engine written for games, so I would be able to easily adapt to them.
I don’t expect to write my own driver firmware, because it would be boring to learn yet another machine language. So I may never program again. The first computes I programmed for were an IBM 360 75 with half a megabyte of magnetic core memory, and a Scientific Data Systems (later Xerox Data Systems) SDS 925 with core memory size equal to 24 kilobytes.
I have a cell phone but don’t carry it much and know only the minimum of how to use it.

I had an electronics Teacher in college that was in the Air Force and used to maintain their Univac.
