The site says they are back ordered so I assume they are out in the wild. Have there been any reports on the performance and tint?
There are some preliminary reports, measurements and comparisons on reddit. Three different users, as far as I can tell, already have gotten their new 600 Plus HIs. They seem to agree that the tint/beam is a smidgen greener than Sc64w HI, but only noticeable in direct comparison. The 600 Plus HI seems to be above duv (just a tiny bit) even on turbo, whereas the Sc64w HI dips below duv on highest output. Those who got one like it a lot and seem not to have noticed anything untoward with their emitters.
Thanks for the very helpful response.
I wish Zebralight posted the output numbers and I wish we knew what output the PID settles at under room temperatures uncooled.
Tint is good enough. It is slightly green/yellow in the corona but not green enough to notice on anything other than a white wall. A little bit bigger hotspot than the sc64. The anodization is darker than the last batch of sc64. The cutout where the lettering goes is a little sharp and the lettering is poor for Zebralight.
Anybody got any news about output levels und runtimes at this point? There’s bunch of beamshots out there (see links above), and comments about tint etc., but no output levels in combination with runtimes. (And Zebralight still has not bothered to update their website even after they sold and shipped the light.) I’m curious! ![]()
I asked Zebralight what the output of this light is, and they responded with “2 weeks”. I assume that means they will update the website in 2 weeks.
Thanks, tonkem!
At this point, they might as well go with a fusion of Rolls Royce confident understatement and meme culture and simply replace all the data from here on with:
“Output: Enough.
Runtimes: Yes.”
Would save them the pesky data gathering and enormous grind of updating the websites every three years ![]()
They don’t sell it with a battery. They can’t really provide runtime numbers. Output is also going to be subject to battery choice to some degree.
I posted a sampling of colour measurements from this light on Reddit.
It’s just an SC600w IV Plus with an XHP50.3 HI reflowed instead of the original XHP50.2. Runtimes should be basically the same, output is a little lower and intensity is higher.
All their other lights have runtimes.
I just saw this, they also had a red emitter light. The sc 64w hi is still my favorite edc. I was hoping for a smaller 21700 light. Hanks new one is tempting.
That makes no sense. Ford don’t sell cars with a full tank of fuel either. Yet they can still offer mpg and power outputs…. ![]()
Very nice beam pattern. Better throw than expected. Not as pocketable as my SC64, yet now worth the size difference.
This has been my first “good” flashlight its super versatile and fun to use.
