It does look interesting, especially for the price point it’s designed to. I’d still feel like I’m cheating on my Wave. Might have to get this as a decoy, for when folks ask to borrow my multitool.

One mod for this Multitool is to use a file to round off the upper edges of the saw and knife, because those edges could be a bit sharp when using its scissors. This should be easy as its HRC is around 50. I’m not very happy with the tools composition. Bottle opener, Can opener, Line cutter, never gonna use them. For the price it’s still a very good product. Also have to mention that if the saw does not lock as smoothly as the knife, then bend the linear lock a bit out and maybe you will need to push the saw a bit more upward before using it, then it locks easily. Just a small defect on my item.

Everything on AliExpress is on sale, including this multitool:

So I finally ordered it!
(It only took me about five months to order it.)

Both cutting edges are dull on mine. I have really a lot of experience with straight razors and knifes, usually keeping all my kitchen and pocket knifes sharp to the point where a hanging piece of paper can be cut, and my razors cut hanging hairs of course. But this Nextool thing gives me riddles. I’ve rarely seen blades that bad. There’s no edge at all.
Hope it is an individual case.

Owned one for a week, great multitool knife. Sturdy, and strong, it is a real tool. I used it yesterday in mountain bike, and it allows me to do some mechanic repair on the road. Very happy with it.

I bought two of them - one from BG and one from Amazon. They’re both dull.

For that item, $28.71 after tax.

I just received my XIAOMI NEXTOOL 16 IN 1 that I ordered on 11/11.
It took a detour to Tennessee (I live in California), but it finally made it to me.
The build quality seems to be right up there with Leatherman, and that's a high standard that most manufacturers do not achieve.
I haven't used any of the tools yet, but I will when the need arises.
(I don't actually use my multitools or knives very much.)
Overall, I'm very impressed.
How does it compare to the Ganzo multitools?
I’ll buy a locking one when it’s at a good price.

Someone else will have to chime in because I don't have any Ganzo multitools.
(I don't like pliers that have a spring like many cheap multitools have.)
From what I have read, the XIAOMI is nicer than Ganzo MT's.

> no locks
Aw, that rules it out for me.
Out of curiosity, how is the blade ground?
Concave on both sides? Flat “wedge”?

Looks really nice. I like the fact that the pliers have replaceable wire cutters. That’s one thing I’m a little annoyed with on my multi-tools (if wire cutters are damaged its tough luck). I didn’t want to pay full Leatherman Wave price, so I bought one in gently used condition, specifically the older Made in USA release. Nice ergonomic size with cambered sides for good handling. I also got myself a used SOG Powerlock, for the compression pliers. They’re seriously strong. But if I didn’t have these, I’d pick up this Xiaomi… that version with liner locks.

For the ones w/dull blades, do they retain their edge (for a while); are the locks
A cut piece of metal which prevents accidental blade closings?
The intro price was unbelievably low, then upped when everyone jumped
on the bandwagon.
Oh, well. Guess my Wave serves its function.
RC, paid tax for something from China?
Today’s joke, NextTool on FleaBay for u see $100!

A major complain I have with a lot of multitools is poor steel choice. Here, 3Cr13Mov isn’t bad for some of the tools but 5Cr15Mov is pretty lame for the knife blade. I’m not asking for super steel or anything. I’d be happy with an 8Cr13Mov blade at this price. Heck, 7Cr17Mov would have been fine. In 2019, 5Cr15Mov just feels south of acceptable here.
Curiously, is there no file?

It has no file. I have the Pro with lock on the knife, no lock on the saw.
Though big scissors, else I’m not very happy with the tools composition.

The Nextool Flagship 16-in-1 Pro Multi-Tool is $30 on Drop.com, and has been for a while.
If the $20 off promotion works on this item, the total will be $10.

I had two of these, so I decided to mail one to a family member as a stocking stuffer, among other things. Well, apparently USPS confiscated it, as it never made it to him, but all the other items in the package did.
I knew switchblade knives were not permitted by USPS, but multitools??? Come on!
