Got this little bugger from fasttech. It has an ak47a driver with 3x7135 amc but it will not run in high on a CR123a. It will run on high for about 4 seconds and then it goes to the low mode and blinks every 2 seconds. Is this one of those lights/drivers that will only run with 3.7 volts from a 16340 rechargeable?
It looks like a nice flashlight (very similar to the Ultrafire 602c), even nicer that it has a neutral white led and a low/med/high Nanjg lineair driver. But unfortunately these drivers do not work on cr123 primaries; the led voltage is higher than the battery voltage (only for a few seconds it isn't) so the driver needs to boost the voltage. This type of driver does not boost, it is indeed made for (higher voltage) rechargable li-ion cells.
Thanks for the info. I was about to complain to fasttech but I understand now. Then again, maybe i should bitch because I wanted a good budget light that runs off cr123a and this one won’t. They need to update the specs for the light.
The driver is definitely a nanjg. It even has the 4 stars to solder for mode groups.
