The XP-L seems like an XM-L2 in an XP-G2 die? :~

Does it perform the same with XM-L2 when dedomed?

The XP-L is an XM-L2 die in a smaller XP-sized package.

Word on the street is that it dedomes somewhat better than an XM-L2. There has been a lot of discussion on here in threads like these:
