I love these multiemitter light! In the hunt for more lumen i have done some bad things and som good things. After burn out 4 KD driver, meltdown springs and tailcap swithes it was time to think different. This light suffer with 2 things when i tried to push the limit: Only 3 batttery in serie. It shoulld be 3S3P. And heating transport as number 2.
Solution was to mod up 3 of them and klamp it together with ledlenserclamp. And what we got?
One ultrafire with 36 xm-l
9 battery with about 7A tailcap x 3 are 21 amp tailcap total.
7A x 9 cell are 63A
36 emitter and 63A is 1,75A pr emitter. Ex driverloss
Anyone who can calkulate the lumen out there?
