This is an old light, but I discovered something new about it recently.
The light is listed as only supporting 1.5v AA, but it actually runs great on 3.7v li-ion cells.
- On Eneloops I found that it would start at 500 lumens but sometimes step down quickly.
- On 3.7v li-ion it still starts at 500 lumens and stays at that level much longer. Running on li-ion cells caused no damage to the light. All modes work, and afterwards the light still worked just fine on Eneloops.
It’s too bad Zebralight seems to be dying. They haven’t released any new models for years and their current catalog of available lights is tiny.
