Finally got round the assembling my Z1 today, bit disappointing with the driver though which is the FX6 from Kai Domain. States 5a 2.3a and 800ma but its actually 5amps 500ma and 100maā¦
Never the less an XHP70 at 5a is very bright to me anyway, ill get some beamshots shortly
Really rubbish picture was at least 70m to the beach, pissing off pedestrians and watching them retaliate with there feeble torches was fun though. Shame about the crosshair!
Yes
The 1504 is very clunky with wobbly zooming action.
I like the weight and big lens because it looks impressive.
Last time I had it out was when my Cometa came.
The Cometa had a better flood and better zoom and better zooming action. So it may be clear the Z1 is surpasses the Cometa on all aspects hence I did not even bother to take the 1504 out of the cupboard
Anyone have any suggestions for removing the LED center cover from the Z1? I have tried having someone hold the light while I try to turn the cover using a nail in each hole. It did not budge.
Also, I noticed when ordering Z1 parts in addition to a Z1 host, the shipping costs continue to rise to about $20. Is this correct?
Use some slim needle nose or snap ring pliers Brett. Be careful and donāt let them slip.
And I donāt know about the shipping on that stuff? I was gonna order some small parts from Jaxman and the shipping has always just seemed way to high on AliExpress?? Maybe there is some way to do it that this does not happen but I have no idea
But hey, what do I know I am an āold fartā yaā knowā¦ā¦ā¦.
:+1: ā¦ Thanks āhankā, your the man!!! ā¦
I should have read on down the page when I clicked on the link, my bad. :person_facepalming: ā¦ (you should have too āBrett Hāā¦ā¦ā¦ ā¦ ā¦ )
I had read this but something was lost in the translation, for me anyway. I added these parts to my cart in a single order and the shipping did reduce to less than what was stated individually, however the reduction was fairly minimal. Here is a screenshot:
Brett, I think you have to either PM or email them the order and they will do their thing on their end to make the shipping cheaper and then tell you how much to pay.
I got / am confused alsoā¦. but I think that might be it after reading through it about ātwelveteenā timesā¦ā¦
Thank you buddy! The holes are pretty small. I have a Craftsman 5 pc. set of mini pliers, which includes a long needle-nose, but the tips on these are still too large. Any suggestions on snap-ring pliers?
Yeah, I will email Paul and see what he can do. I would think that it wouldnāt even add to the shipping with two hosts already part of the order, but then, I didnāt know if maybe they were factoring the shipping costs in to raise the actual price of the items.
The underside of a mousepad usually does it for me when I need more friction.
Shipping is not nice
Contact them
Butā¦ to he honest I did not get a reply when I emailed directly and it was just a short Nice email sending this pic (scientetist was OK if they use it on the product page)
So I am a bit worried if all is OK. Probably is, after a holiday lots of work to catch up
No way, that would work. I have used that method before to get a better grip, but this thing is incredibly tight! I just tried a 3 inch safety pin and the pin was bending. So far, I am very frustrated with this light. The lens has a chip on the seating edge, it came in some wrinkled, flimsy box and now this LED center cover is way too tight to remove.
