Any deal on Nitecore NU20 CRI?
So can anyone comment on the HaikeLite MT03 4S? The only thing I could tell from their website is the 4S is current regulated. I assume that the BG light is not the 4S.
edit - it seems the battery arrangement is 2S2P in the first version, and 4S1P in the “4S” version. Would it be any brighter? It says it has a shorter runtime.
As an aside, are these moddable? If so, I’d like one over the Olight X7 I think.
It is unknown what they changed in the 2s vs 4s setups.
Assuming the same output wattage the runtimes would be basically identical although the 4s would maintain the same output for the entire cell life.
The 2S would start dropping output fairly quickly and due to the less output could then have a longer total runtime. Although if you ran the 4s in a lower mode to match the output of the dwindling 2s, the runtime would be the same or even in the 4S favor.
So it is really a misnomer to say that the 2S has longer runtime, it also has less light output which naturally will use less power. The longer it is on the worse it will get.
In a nut shell, I would get the 4S version everytime myself. I see no reason or point for the 2S version.
