I get you mate, yeah so itās five outer parts - the first brass ring towards the head is soldered onto the inner brass tube at the heatsink level for some heat dissipation, the other brass ring at the tail and three carbon fibre tube parts are epoxied to the brass inner body tube with jbweld.
Getting them all even = a lot of filing & sanding, itās not perfect being my first attempt at using this technique but good enough i think.
I admire your modding abilities, I canāt lieā¦but since I donāt have an SRK and the good ones are hard to find, then Iāll be really happy to own this one !
BTW, really nice creation, once again !!!
We have winners in the OP!
If you three could send me your names, addresses, credit card & SS numbers along with your paypal login details and of course, the name of your first pet and mothers maiden name that would be great!
Just kiddin! I will PM you for the postage details. :+1:
I'm quoting part of the PM I've sent to CRX, cause I don't want to write a simple "THANK YOU"!
Unbelievable!
I'm really stunned and extremely happy Stevi!
This is the most "one of a kind" gift I ever got, besides the drawings of my kids when they were younger. I really don't know if I'm gonna have it on me all the time this wonderfull handmade flashlight, or I'm gonna put it at the best place in my home, as a trophy for everybody to see!
Can't thank you enough... really...
BTW, I saw in the last pics you've added the tool you've made to pull the magnetic removable battery carrier. Very simple, yet very-very clever! :THUMBS-UP:
Yeah it got that today along with a brass bezel insert. The battery carrier can be removed by holding the light and hitting your hands together, as if getting ketchup out of a bottle but i thought someone else might prefer something a little more eloquent
