[SALE] High CRI 90+ Nichias (ENDED)

Great!
We’ll be waiting for the Europe report.

That’s some pretty fast shipping for this time of the year, good job!

I’m hoping for a nice incandescent triple 219C 3000K in Reylight’s X6 Ti host, been missing that warm tint for outdoors.

Thanks for doing this guys! :+1:

Woah… Cool

I’m jealous, TA!
My package is in the Netherlands for two days now, but not delivered yet (have been home all day yesterday). The various tracking sites tell me that the package is untrackable at the moment, very useful :frowning:

I didn’t expect it quite so quick myself but DHL is pretty quick once they get it.

Going to start sorting and packing them in a little while.

Guys, I found something….
Check this picture, even the already cool white of 5700K still didn’t match the sunlight due to the lack of UV (good thing for fabrics and art museum). The brightener agent in the paper reacted strongly under the sunlight.

I’ll replace some pictures in the OP with this one. Much better for comparison purpose

….And there isn’t much difference between sm403 and sm503. Maybe that’s why Nichia doesn’t produce Ra9050 in sm45x

Hey TA put me down for 6 more of those 219c SW403’s. That’s should take me to an even 10. Thanks sir.

Ok, just got done sorting, packing and shipping all the orders. The tracking numbers should have either been delivered to your paypal email address or with a PM here depending on how you paid.

Now to get a second wind and start playing with mine, Got several lights I am building as gifts for Christmas that I am going to try them out in.

Got those added to the list!

Interesting finding. Do you happen to know the brightness of that paper?

I can’t measure it but it’s obvious that the paper turned blueish, especially the paper area near the colour cards which was wetted with glue stick.

Pity there’s no cyan / turquoise samples in between blue and green there.
No purple either…

That’s all I could get from the paint store. Next time I’ll try to get more complete colour cards. Took me 2 hours just to get them glued evenly. But now we know that UV plays important role in making anything looks more natural, something not included in CRI colour sample.

You’re fast! Those are many shipments you packed there!
Have fun with the soldering Tex

It comes from experience I guess. Having been doing internet sales for some time you learn a few tricks to speed up the process.

Luckily everyone on BLF sent payment correctly with all the needed information included with it, this saves me a ton of time. Thanks for ya’lls part in that!

Do you think they’ll still let you in without buying paint?

That’s a big can of worms you opened there. Thankfully, my windows filter UV so I can just stay inside and ignore the whole thing

So will the next step in high CRI be to add a UV emitter next to those nichia? I can picture people bragging about how fast their light gives them sunburn.

You know, UV ist not so great for the eyes. I would wear sunglasses outside in the tropics. The picture with sunlight would probably be very similar to the one from the 573 Nichia with a UV-Filter in front of the lens(Red, deep blue and Cyan color will still be better though).

Sure, he’s my friend. I can get all the unused colour cards he has. Unfortunately those are also the least complete too. Less card with more complete colour samples should be better.

I think it’s mainly caused by the glue spray I used. I wiped the excess sticky stuff on the cards with wet towel, thus the smear marks. Some materials respond stronger to UV.

Please don’t, high CRI minus the UV is much better for our eyes

Actually the cool white 144A has the highest violet-blue (480nm) spectrum proportion compared the other high CRI Nichias (> than 40%). But still far away from the UV region
