Battery ?

@ teacher In post 78 the link you posted I follow it and in that post you mention a usb tester. What is a usb tester and how does it work?

Here yaā€™ go.
https://www.imrbatteries.com/xtar-usb-voltage-current-meter/

Here is another one: http://a.co/gLgrv7E

Seems like it has a more advanced display. Does anyone have any experience with this one? Itā€™s possibly sold on other sites under a different nameā€¦

How much money is earned with those @#$% redirected links each time someone ā€œpunchs inā€? Where are the fair-minded reviews/quotes behind these products, Pete7874? Not pretending to be rude, of course.

^:)

This is a direct link provided by Amazon when you click the ā€œshareā€ icon on their website.

No idea. But I found HKJ reviewed this one. Seemed to be on par with other similar testers.

Hmmm, I am kinda mixed up about Barkuti is trying to say?? :open_mouth:
But could you put a link up to HKJā€™s review of that one Peteā€¦. Iā€d like to read about it. Iā€m on my phone right now & a search is difficultā€¦ā€¦ for me anyway.

Thank youā€¦

Nothing pesky, teacher. Since those links Pete7874 was sharing were of distorted redirectional class (LoL! ), something I had seen before (affiliated/tracked links), I just asked just to know a bit more about that stuff.

I've been procrastinating my financial situation for just too much already.

^:)

P.S.: I can virtually do all of the stuff possible with a desktop computer from my Android phone. Unfortunately, untapping the full potential of these handheld full blown computers requires quite a bit of customization (rooting, etc).

@ Barkuti ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ OH, [ā€œaffiliated/tracked linksā€]; OK brother Barkutiā€¦. I understand now. :+1:

I was a bit lost & confused for a while thereā€¦ā€¦.

I do not have the skill or inclination to learn to do those things on laptop or phone at this pointā€¦ā€¦ā€¦. :person_facepalming: ā€¦
But it nice to know it can be done if I ever decide to try. :student:

Take care my friendā€¦ā€¦ā€¦

OK ā€˜grasshopperā€™ (Venom)ā€¦ sorry for the short reply this morningā€¦ I was in a rush.

They will basically tell you the output voltage & current to the device you are charging.

Below are pictures of three different ones, there are tons of different models so donā€™t drive yourself crazy looking for one.
.

.
.
THIS will tell you a bit more about the Xtar in word & pictures of it in use.
.

.
Here is a link to a review HKJ did on the Xtar shown aboveā€¦.

I have a couple of them and they work very well. In the link I posted above this morning earlier they have them for $5. It is in the USA also.

Then here is a link to HKJā€™s site also ā€¦. Review/test of USB equipment for charging.
http://www.lygte-info.dk/info/indexUSB%20UK.html
He tests many different models and brands and this link is his Master List with links to each he has tested.

Hope this helpsā€¦ā€¦ā€¦

@ teacher These seems to be handy for diagnosis if you having problems with cell charging or other devices other devices that uses usb charger. Is there a way to check voltage/amp at the end of the usb charger cable to see how much it lost its voltage/amp?

Which usb tester gets teacher seal of approval?

ETORCH Technology Manufactory Co. Ltd. Aliexpress store

Take a look there Venom, HKJ has already reviewed and approved some of their units. Some of them selling like hotcakesā€¦

^:)

Those are some nice oneā€™s Barkuti mentioned above. :+1:

If you donā€™t want to wait for shipping from China you can pick up the Xtar HERE or HERE ā€¦. in the USA.

I have several and this Xtar works just fine.
HKJ reviewed it hereā€¦. Test/Review of Xtar USB current/voltage detector

Yeah, you could do that; but you would have to have some adapters to use the USB Tester that way.
.

Out of the USB tester that you have and used are they accurate and staying accurate over time? Which one is your favorite (your opinion) and why? I like to get people opinion, pro and cons, its help me decide.

I have a USB charger for my phone and it say 5v 1.2 or 12 amp canā€™t see and I took a picture on a iphone and blew it up the picture still canā€™t tell. I called the phone manufacturer, they said 5v 2.1a , they must of print it backward on the USB charger.

@Venomā€¦ā€¦ Not a dimes worth of difference in the ones I have of the same class/type. I probably use the Xtar the most because it has a large display that is easy to read & covers the range I need it to.
Accuracy is good.

I just came back from Walmart in my city in my city and nothing. Iā€™m going to try the Walmart in the the next town over and see what they have over the weekend.

Did they sell out or were they mixed up when they said they had them??

If at first you donā€™t succeedā€¦. try - try againā€¦

I think when I called the guy didnā€™t bother looking. When I went there today the guy told me they never carried that brand, they just had a off brand and the other guy probably thought that was it. I think I also saw a Anker one to.

Venom, with each trip, your expenses may raise a good deal. You could have bought some inexpensive good looking unit on the first attempt, and could have won the craps shoot for just a little more. ;-)

Honestly, I even take my time looking for a quick online review about that bottle of wine at the supermarket. LoL!
