on topic:
i get 30Q and 30Q button top deals monday...

but getting cells out of china seems not that easy ...

banggood told me they need safety papers for shipping (which some brands like sanyo do not supply)

they offered BASEN and keeppower (like the P1835J)
what do you think?

Looks like they don’t ship any of them to my country :frowning:

Please put me down for one.
Thanks

Been "away" awhile. Anyway, looks like I'm on the list for two, but other things are using up my fun money recently, so I'm going to keep it to one.

Thanks! My order of 4 30Q BT's from BangGood got returned to them, and they asked me if I wanted a refund, so I said yes. I'll just go with the US sourcing for now.

Will update list later Flintrock

Martin, can Banggood get stock of the 30Q GA and/or VTC6 in their European warehouse, this could be easierto ship then right?

While that’s true electrically, I remember reading that the idea behind swapping is that the front cell is typically exposed to more heat from the head. So it might degrade faster over time and loose capacity more quickly than the rear cell. I don’t think that was ever validated by measurements but it certainly does not hurt anything to do the swapping to prevent any potential problem down the road.

Now let’s get back on topic… where are those protos? Seems like it’s time to solder blob my cells. The traffic is really picking up in here.

Grenade pouches… The pouches I got from the US source (probably a few pages back now) were mailed promptly and if these pouches have ever seen use I can’t find any wear on them. They look like they were purchased by Uncle Sam or another go’v’t and only warehoused.

30Q cells… the order I placed probably didn’t come from Canada as I had guessed, but probably from China. I’m still waiting for them. If they were out of a Canadian warehouse I would have them already.

Well I specifically ask for normal shipping, not fast DHL or something. This so they are shipped as the production units.

For the pouches, I've been reviewing them, and decided to Gorilla tape over the metal back sides of the snap rings or rivets from the inside of the pouch. They seem to be holding up so far. I was afraid of potential scratches, depending on how the light sits in there.

I got other style MOLLE II pouches I use as well - one from the same eBay store, slightly bigger pouch but an SRK then fits completely inside. This one:

http://www.ebay.com double 30 round MOLLE II

This one may need the snap/rivet protection more than others though. Might be too big for some, but may fit other lights well.

We gotta start another thread on these...

great idea!

please add me to the list

If the pouch i am eyeing turn out to be a little oversized, i will just whip up some form of padding to go inside.

Might ( if pouch a little too deep ) even add a spring to the bottom to lift the Q8 a little when Velcro are unzipped, to facilitate a faster grip.

Ha the fastest lightbringer of Denmark!

If the light is sold over Banggood, it would be great if a set of batteries could be sent inside the light
They do not ship batteries to Germany anymore, but ordering a Klarus Light with Battery installed is still possible

I totally understand the question
I feel not comfortable to get a combination deal going for the added problems that can arise.
This would be something to ask oneself.
It involves more then just Thorfire packaging and shipping for we know GA and 30Q cells are coming from a different place.

For US a deal is running and RMM is notified.
For EU Djozz notified nkon.
World M4DM4X is doing cells.

some friends reported lights being sent back because of included cells...

(actually i let a source ship the X45 with removed cells to avoid problems with customs ;) )

Well you finally got me too. I can't resist anymore and am in for one.
