What about tailcap magnet?
That would have been nice, but a magnet that can hold a 18650 light horizontally is at least 5mm thick, I can understand a decision to go for minimal size in a light like this.
More like 3mm, but yeah it adds to the length for sure… but it’s quite useful
EDIT : you can always glue a magnet to the tailcap

There is a spring:
It does use our BeCu spring both in the tailcap and driver pcb to minimize
the resistance as small as possible.

I know that spring, the coils compress to completely flat, so it takes just a mm of space. So there’s not much gained removing it.
