1 three prototypes need thorough checking SHIPPED SO ANY DAY NOW THIS CAN START
2 things found in 1 debated
3 things from 2 worked on by LT
4 if it seems OK LT sends out seven prototypes or samples for scrutiny
4a in case of any doubts 1 or 2 new prototypes are send to us
4b, repeat 2 and 3 in case of 4a 
5 the team decides if they are prototypes or samples
5a still no good? Repeat 2,3 and 4 (unlikely but still)
6 whole team declares samples and GO is given
7 LT prepares the GTs and people start ordering.
That is it.
All on the list for the first 555 get a PM and have 5 days to order and pay (one GT max per order)
Then, if not all 555 are sold, a PM is send to a corresponding number of people on the list after 555, and again they have 5 days to order and pay.
Then, if not all 555 are sold, yet again a PM goes to the next people on the list who will have 5 days to order and pay.
After that, the limitation for 555 is gone and the price is getting closer to retail ($150 now) and the rest of people on the list get the PM to start ordering

When Lumintop decides the $150 deal is going to stop it will stop and the GT gets its retail price of $249.95 (maybe with some value adding things, IDK we have to see) and sold via whatever vendor LT wants (so probably the big ones like GB BG FT and such, meaning some deals must be able to be found (like the Fasttech Sunday 10% off thing would allow one to order a GT for ~$225 there ) )

The smaller the taxed value the higher the part fees and such is of the to be paid amount, making it feel not nice.
I rather pay €25 of which €20 are taxes and €5 fees then the other way around as it is now with a €25 valued item if duties are due.
In this case just choose the best shipping method, I read up to $800 for DHL to US so that is easy choice if living in US.

I have a suggestion. Could those who will receive GT prototypes mod them with an XHP-70.2 driven at 4-5 amps to see whether the flashlight withstands even that of kind power?
I plan to do this to the prototype at some point once I have the LED.
Although seeing as it is much much larger then the L6, I am going to guess it will handle the heat ok.
Thank you! I have some worries about the driver and contact points like springs and connectors between the cell carriers. The flashlight host alone is pretty much bombproof, it would survive even a flamethrower mounted instead of the emitter, but the electronics designed for 2,5 A could have problems with 5 A. Just me thinking out loud… I am probably wrong, but I think it should be tested anyway.
Yeah the L6 is poor in cooling
It is light and has not a lot of fins.
Compare the L6 with the heavier S70(s) with more and smarter placed and deepened fins and the S70(s) is much better preforming in this regard.
Just look at those beasty fins of the GT, on the location where it matters and the larger size and weight, there should be much better cooling going on.
DEL made an improvement to the driver board that is giving it better heat transfer to the head for just this reason
The alternative shipping means something else than DHL or it will also send with DHL just in two pieces? Because that wont help me out of taxes. In Hungary DHL put everything under customs and taxes procedure. So If I pay the 111$ in one payment I have two packages with the same 111$ invoice. and that will be taxed or taxed twice.

Only 5 days to order? I’m going on vacation in a month and I likely won’t have internet for nearly 3 weeks. Is it possible to lengthen the payment period to 4 weeks? 5 days seems awfully short especially since lots of members have signed up from other sites and I doubt they are frequently checking the status of the project
Well it was kind of hard to get to this solution and the tight periods for the extreme low price is a bit less tight then was asked for initially.
We can’t wait long to see if somebody will order or not so yeah it is going to be a five day window.

With only the prototypes under way it seems unlikely it will be done in a month, we need good samples first.
If somebody goes away for a long period a top of my head solution would be to ask a friend, neighbor or family member to do the order and change your email address where PM notifications go to and give them your BLF name and password so they can do it for you.
I wish it could go for longer, say 10 days for the order buy periods but LT needs to make up for the $111, fees, and shipping and of course wants that to start sooner rather then later.
The $150 for after the low price still is a great value anf lower then one will need to pay retail.
With 555 people for the $111 price there is bound to be one who cannot order in whatever timeframe is set.
Please be creative and find a solution, in the end there are thee things important:
Receiving PM
Order and pay
Receive light
I could ask my neighbors to do it for example and if I would live in The Netherlands lots of options would be there.
