3.4V is at about the 2.1 Ah mark, so 2.1 Ah out of 2.86 Ah capacity is about 73.4%, so 26.6% capacity remaining. This is directly off a Samsung 30Q flat top test, so not sure if this is all apples to apples, but this is how I've thought it could be calculated.
Those measurements are under load, wheras the 3.4v in question wasn’t measured inside the running Q8, it was the state of charge of the cells as per the poster, so likely measured after taking them out.
Ahh, ok. Anyway in HKJ's reviews to find out the "not under load" levels? These things will vary from cell to cell it seems like. I've seen discharge curves vary nearing the end.
I think it is awesome, had to do work the other day
blink blink blink lower
blink blink blink lower
blink blink blink lower
blink blink blink lower
I ramped it up a little and had light more then enough to see for the duration of the work at least half an hour
It is so good to be able to put lumens out at steady rate sometimes, I hate lights that keep on blinking and detest my Olights that just go off and won’t turn on.
I had a Gearbest package go from China to LA to NY, then it took a tour of Europe and ended up in Istanbul. Then back to NY, then to me in Michigan. I wish I’d done a screen shot of the tracking. If it hadn’t been so funny, I would have been pissed. It took around 7 weeks to finally arrive.
Not yet. Last night I tried pulling out the driver but the wires that go up to the LED MCPCB were too short to allow it to come out very far, so I stopped there. Thinking I may need to Disassemble the top end of the light in order to free up enough slack to get a good look at the driver.
I get it. But does not this have thermal protection? To reach 3.4v level I set max brightness and waited.
After it reached 3.4volt the surface became too hot to even touch for 1 second. But it did not throttle.
I like it this way but maybe this is harmful. So is not there any kind of protection? Like thermal or timer?
It comes set to a 3 minute default step down time.
You can configure this to a different amount of time (more or less) before it steps down or configure it to step down at a set temperature.
I think that that is correct.
I have left both of mine on the default 3 minute step down as that seems about right to me.
Welp, It has made it to the USA! Now lets see how fast it can make it to my front door on the edge of the planet.
