Got my D4 xp-l hi too a few weeks ago!

I love this light. So small and so bright!

I couldn’t resist to make a metal switch for it too. This is a great idea.

Very nice.
I like your sig

What did you use to make the metal switch please ?

Stainless steel 304.

That little D4 black with black button and green light ring is porn to my eyes. You did an AMAZING job

I just stumbled upon this one, amazing work once again CRX! :+1:

Wow… That’s really really nice…

Will you make more to sell, or would it be too expensive?

These mods to such a small light is absolutely beautiful. To my admittedly novice eyes these look seamless and like they were factory made since the work is so precise. Kudos gentlemen I bow to your obvious talent

where can i buy that pk clip? Will the clip that offer INTL OUTDOOR or MTN be suitable with the 18350 tube to clip it onto my hat?

thnaks

I got that clip when I bought the PK paladin, 47’s were selling them separately but have since closed down this month unfortunately. The ring needs to be cut to fit over the threads too.
I do not have the D4 clip but from looking at it I’m not too sure if it would be good for your intended purpose, could always just try it though.

THAnks for your answer. Im still shocked by that mini d4 and all your mods. Awsome

Could you please do a tutorial on the USB charging? That is amazing.

I removed those build images as it may have been risky for other people to try.

How did you even make the USB bottom?

- stevimagic -

stevimagic? not sure what that means

That magnetic bottom is nice as well. How did you make the copper disc? Don’t know much about metal working.

I’m stevi

The copper disc was made from thin copper sheet. I used a magnet on one side, a battery tube on the the other and placed in a small hand vice to press a square copper piece into shape then filed it round to fit in the tail cap.
Took a couple of shots to get that right.
