In Manker fashion, I’ll say one word :
+1
I really like the magnetic tail cap on the EDC05. I will order one this coming week. Just got my Sofirn SP10B, my first AA size flashlight
Just ordered the neutral white version of the EDC05 from Banggood.com
Just have to wait now.
Tick Tock…….tick tock…….
Very nice review and awesome photos steel_1024. It got me to buy another flashlight.
This looks great. I’m also a fan of Lumintop after their involvement in the BLF GT project. Only thing I wish for is a sublumen mode. I use that a lot on a light this size.
The stated runtime seems amazing.
OK, could not wait Just ordered the CW one. It was the magnetic tail cap and 800 lumens that did it for me Thank you M4D M4X for the code!

The EDC05 certainly is a nicer body design than Manker could do. No Cartoon images on the button or Wank marketing mode names.
Your representation of the Manker name is why I do not patronize your products.
If I didn’t already have too many UT01 lights I would certainly buy this nice looking Lumintop version.
Thank you for the Review Steel
Does it support protected batteries ?
The stated runtime seems amazing.
The stated runtime seems amazing unrealistic. Let’s do some math
- Cree XP-L max efficacy = 161 lm/W
- 400 lm for 1.2 hours = 400/161 W * 1.2h = 2.98 Wh
- 200 lm for 2.2 hours = 200/161 W * 2.2h = 2.73 Wh
- 60 lm for 11 hours = 60/161 W * 11h = 4.10 Wh
A brand new Eneloop Pro stores 3.0 Wh.
Conclusion
- the 400lm runtime is possible only with 100% efficient LED driver - this is unrealistic
- the 200lm runtime, if it was true, would be really amazing
- the 60lm runtime is simply impossible with nowadays AA cells
I am going to put this flashlight on my aaflashlights.com todo list…

Nope
>XPL HI
>Magnetic tailcap
>Stainless bezel over the glass
>One could also make the argument that the EDC05 has better heat sinking with its head being made from a singular uniform piece of aluminum.
Curious… Does the EDC05 have a programmable mode setting like the UT and E11?
This light looks great. Now is there any coupon for this?

I have no protected 14500 on hand.
However, there is plenty of room for protected 14500.
Thanks for the review, very good! Love it much! :+1:
