Thrunite TC20 - XHP70 - 3800lm

That light has been released only a few hours ago, give it some time

With the discount. The price is very competitive.
Too bad they don’t ship to Australia

Well I stopped by to see if there was a thread after I noticed the email in my box this morning. So I’m sure there are plenty of others who will be doing the same.

Had to try it. I’m glad it’s not just a thrower. Looks like it should be a smaller, lumen monster. I’m not a fan of rubber covered ports, (they’re usually a weak spot), but hopefully Thrunite has made it quality. Hope it doesn’t have any teething problems like some manufacturers do with new releases.

Funny how U.S. customers only get the CW option as a lot of you folks prefer other tints. As for me, I’m a CW fan as long as it’s pure white with no green or blue.

It’s a nice price with the discount and free shipping.

Thanks for the heads up and posting the 20% off code. Just grabbed one

it has the same throw (25kcd and 320m) and approx the same size as their all star TN4A
but 3x more lumens
so I guess it’s very wide/floody

I just noticed the expected ship date is the 12th of January. And I thought I’d have it in a few days :frowning:

nobody knows info how long it can run 3800 lumens? i doubt its infinite like convoy l6?

Collateral damage, it killed the p26r

It sounds like the same ramping UI as their TH20 headlamp. Strange that they list runtime at specific lumens. Also strange that high at 50% doesn’t get much more run time than turbo. But the price, size and likely performance probably make this one a winner. A pocketable wall of light. I too am curious about step down on high.

Correction: It’s not ramping. The light cycles through low/medium/high. If it can maintain 1,800 without step down this light is a hands down winner. If not, 320 is a long way down.

Please post your impressions when you get the light. I’m very interested in this one.

Will do. To be honest, my impressions will be basic. I just don’t have the patience to write detailed reviews.

Basic is fine. Real world impressions are great.

Mine arrived yesterday and it is DOA. Flashing purple light when I try to recharge internally (and yes, the plastic thing is removed). Doesn’t work with an Imalent 26650 or an Efest 26650 either

Well that’s disappointing. The specs have so much promise.

That sucks. Mine hasn’t shipped yet.

Yeah, depressing! I was wondering if this first batch might have some bugs like some 1st generations do.

I hesitated buying this light because I don’t care for built-in chargers mainly because of the rubber charging port covers which could become an issue with use.

I only own one light with a built-in charger and the charger was DOA upon arrival.

Still no word on the one I ordered.

Mine shipped today. Since it’s coming from New Jersey, I should have it in a day or two.

EDIT turns out that the battery tube was shipped installed the wrong way. Once I put the non anodized end towards the tail of the light, it worked fine. Nice and bright. UI is the same as the Thrunite TN4A
