Perfect! Thanks so much for explaining it (and to other commenters as well)! Mine was just a little stiff at first, but now seems to be moving fine.
Please put me on list for a third GT. I need one more for modding.

heatwaves:I do have one observation about the light that seems a bit odd to me. When the top and bottom are tightened completely on the threads, the two areas to fasten the strap are on opposite sides. The one on the bottom of the flashlight is facing up, when the grommet in the mid-center of the light is facing down. Seems like they both should be facing down. … picture to follow.
Here is the photo…
Not sure why the strap connectors are facing in different directions when fully tightened.

The tailcap ring should rotate with a little effort to match whatever you want.
Also there is another mounting point higher up on the end I would recommend for attaching a strap, it will be better balanced.

I posted this in the other thread as well. That 5” neoprene cover on Amazon fits perfect. Like it was made for the GT
- What are the Amps you are all getting?
- What`s the lux you are all getting?
Interesting to know if everybody has similar output and throw!!!!
Please post them if you can.
I posted this in the other thread as well. That 5" neoprene cover on “Amazon”:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00009R9BN/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 fits perfect. Like it was made for the GT !{width:60%}https://kek.gg/i/3Pq--k.jpg!
fits perfect.... for the amount it covers ;)
reminds me of people wearing a rainhat, with no raincoat.... at least it keeps their hair dry ;p
Every time I see that video I can’t help thinking that every Londoner should have had a GT during the blitz. If the AAA gunners couldn’t hit their targets as they were flying, then at least the bombardier would have been blinded and just seeing a blue ball floating in front of his eyes.
I wonder who the first person will be to signal the ISS with their GT?
BTW, VOB, that video just doesn’t get old and neither does your obvious enthusiasm.
Well I got my light but not the batteries, I’ll send Neal another email and pm and hope he’ll answer.
Anyone going to Easy Off their bezel?
I think I might, Like my D1S. Maybe polish and give it the oil/burn treatment.

The objective is to cover the lens, as in “lens cover”. Would still want a lens cover even in a Flashlight bag. At least, I would.
I just assembled mine (it works!), LOL.
Definitely going to have to construct a case for this monster!
Anybody else notice dust on the reflector when the light is turned on? Mine looks perfect when off but when I turn it on you can see a lot of dust.
CHECk YOUR BATTERY CARRIERS, WHEN I LIFTED THE TOP ONE THERE WAS A SCREW SITTING THERE THAT WAS NOT PUT IN.
I put it in with a 2mm allen wrench and checked the others, the rest were fine and tight.
Someone mentioned the weight w/8 batteries somewhere. I don't remember what it was.
Has anyone weighed in yet?

FRONT GLASS PROTECTION for BLF GT
Hi everybody!
- I found this "hood hat" used for photography lenses (I use them on my gear and are very good quality) that should be fine for protecting the front of our beloved BLF GT!
- I still didn't get my GT, but already ordered one of these because it's very cheap ($9.95) and the specs seem to be perfect: "Fits 5.00 to 5.75" (12.7 to 14.6 cm) diameter lens hoods"
- I want to keep my GT safe when it arrives, especially considering the huge front lens...
- I paste link below. There's also a video on the site showing the product.
- LINK: https://bhpho.to/2DfTz3N
Hope this helps, cheers! :)
PS: I started a new thread with the info few hours ago because this one was locked. Now that's working again I thought it was worth sharing here for GT current & future owners ;)
I mentioned this as a “guesstimate” at one time…
I am also interested to know…
Jaza: Buzzing Bulb:Does anyone know what GIGGLES weight is without batteries?
1.8kg
Then put in 8 x 50g 18650´s and you have 2.2 kg (2200g)
We need wheels.Just for fun, in comparison:
Nitecore TM26 with NBP52 battery pack 890g.
Olight SR95S UT 1215g.
Led Lenser X21 1350g. (4 D cell)
Olight X6 with external battery pack 1600g.
Has anyone weighed in yet?
My postal scale says the GT weighs 5 pounds, 0.1 ounces when loaded with 8 Samsung 30q button tops.
That’s 2.27 kilos.
