Wildcat:
Look at this new Boruit:
http://s.aliexpress.com/NVbqU7jm
It is much better than Rj-02.
125 gramm with battery and headband (skilhunt h03 - 120 gramm), 5 modes, hidren strobes, usb charging, PWM 16 kHz, normal xml-like led (fake) on normal 20-mm star. You can use 17-mm tir from skilhunt or 21-mm tir from convoy. Driver - fet. Current 0.05-0.16-0.45-0.95-2.05 A.
Starts on medium. Long click to switch modes, short click to on and off.
How do you know so much about this new model? Are you reading the Russian reviews? Lol EDIT: Nevermind, I see that Russian review link.
The 2 things I don’t like are:
1. No over head strap, just around your head. Makes it less secure in my opinion.
2. No more stepless dimming. It now has 5 brightness levels.
On the plus side it has a 1A built in charger with a more protected cover.
There are actually 3 new models like this from Boruit. This one, a double led one and a zoomie one.
We talk about it here.
I’m going to try and list a bunch of popular headlights to make it easier for people to narrow down what they want based on price, shape, features, etc…
If you know if one of these models uses a 20mm reflector or lens, let me know. That means a 20mm tir lens can be fitted to change the beam shape.
If you know it uses a 16mm mcpcb, also let me know. This would make it easy to change the color temp.
I will try and continue to update this first post list. Hopefully all the lights will eventually…
You can see all their models on the Boruit AliExpress store.

Just tested the charging mechanism of the Boruit RJ-02, it charges quite slow ~0.60A max, but seems like a good charge curve. (using EBD-USB+ to monitor the charge rate)
(tested a cell I got from a powerbank, that 18650 I’ve already tested to be around 2300mAh with another analyzing charger)
Upon fully charged from the RJ-02 (indicator just turned green), I took the battery out and checked that it’s really close to 4.20v; and just to test how “fully” charged it was, I tried to charge the “just-freshly-charged-from-RJ-02” 18650 on my analyzing charger, and it was able to charge only another 10mAh into the cell, meaning it really charges cells to full.

How long does the RJ-02 run on high?
Im guessing there is not temp regulator?
Vaguely recall it drew a smidge over 1A, so maybe 2-3hrs, depending on the cell.

I measured 1.40A on the Boruit RJ-02’s tailcap current with a freshly-charged battery.
If I recall correctly, the RJ-02 does not appear to have low-voltage protection, so it may run down the battery if left on. (maybe someone can confirm?)

That is the information I have. So it is recommended to use a protected battery so that there is no chance of an accidental over discharge.

Who told you it used a xpg2?
It’s some no-name led. A bit on the bluish side in my opinion.
How hacquable is it (D10, D25)?
Separate pcbs for the emitters? Driver board flashable? Etc.
