BLF GT official support thread [FAQ updated 11 Jan 2018]
Mine arrived today was not home at the time, I was in the 2nd batch 896.
Batteries where in the same box light looks sensational.
cheers…
Ah OK. So all requests with a number below 771 are in the first batch? And from this first batch the expedited shipping lights are being shipped first and after that the registered mail lights are handled. It will not be the case that people from the second batch (with a request number > 770) and expedited shipping will have their lights shipped earlier than the people from the first batch using the registered mail option?
for the BLF GT, lumintop declare all with $25
but the UK customs don’t believe it, they returned the packages,
how about declare $50 for UK members?
For me, I’m originally registered shipping but sent PM a few days ago asking to change to DHL/TNT/FEDEX, this value would be ok if my order is changed to courier, not registered.
Also just a thought, is Tuigli”s light one with batteries as I think that the 2 UK ones received so far are without batteries ?
My thoughts would be that if you are going to mark UK lights as being $50 dollars you may as well change all UK registered parcels to DHL at the same time as fees are going to be incurred & we may as well get the light quickly & pay fees rather than wait 4-6 weeks for registered delivery & pay fees.
Just my thoughts & opinion & I am only speaking for myself of course.
There must be more UK orders we’ve not heard about, either arriving or not arriving.
I don’t think the standard procedure for disputed value is to send the package back to the sender, I’m assuming you’re asked for proof of payment….
Did you get any notice beforehand, or did it just appear on your doorstep?
I’m in NZ, but I’m hoping that’s close enough to Oz that mine got shipped as well.
It just arrived, no notice.
I took the tracking number from the box, stuck it into TNT’s site, and discovered that mine was sent from Lumintop on the 19th of Jan - if yours happens to be in the same batch, it can’t be far away.
I was thinking a few people in the UK had received their lights………
Just a few sadly……… the trouble is they haven’t exactly thought about it - it’s sent in a box with ‘blf gt’ slapped all over it , and then a huge invoice on top, which should read say ‘flashlight parts’ or something, not ‘blf gt flashlight’ they didn’t have to be so specific, ie, reveal the make/model at worst just ‘flashlight’ would have sufficed.
You only have to type blf gt in to google and you find the price on here or elsewhere, worse still you can find the higher price……or even the final sale price.
Customs aren’t stupid, it’s their job after all.
I think when re sending, wrap them in paper maybe? I know it’s an ask, but they stand a better chance. I guess it’s only a few lights, 100?
Also in previous group buys, I seem to remember registered lights being shipped via the Netherlands (I presume Netherlands post), which seemed to work.

Well, this answers my earlier question ([PART 1] Official BLF GT Group Buy thread. Group buy officially closed! Lights shipping. - #16588 by R.D).
Might I ask when you made the final payment for the light?
Have fun with the light! Can’t wait to get my hands on mine

I don’t work in customs but I’d assume they would have access to the carriers databases like account numbers and such, if it’s been big enough and noticed by customs I wouldn’t be surprised if their entire account is under more review, IF it really is customs getting a hard’on for tax dollars of course.
Got my GT with Batteries to Sydney Australia!
Ok, with the latest news taken into consideration, and the fact I was already starting to get shakey (I think I’d use it like 10 times, then it would be an expensive shelf queen)…. I’d like to ask for a refund please, who is it I have to ask?
I do not understand why Neal sends someone a second flashlight when someone did not even get the first flashlight !? It hurts

Ask the person you sent your payment to…and it’s Neal.

That’d be because Neal isn’t sending them, Lumintop is making and sending them. Neal has supplied them with a list of people who have ordered in the first ~1000 od or whatever the number was up too and Lumintop is sending them out from there. Nothing to do with Neal as far I’m concerned.

This is odd as a friend of mine has to pick his up from the post depot today and mine certainly wasnt returned. Maybe it was only lights with cells that have been returned?
EDIT… this might be wrong. My friend had a ROYAL MAIL note through his door. I dont know if TNT drop off to Royal Mail depots or not.
IS IT ONLY LIGHTS WITH CELLS BEING RETURNED???
I don’t have full list of UK buyers but I have compiled this from a look through the paid spreadsheets:
chrisc DHL no batteries - Delivered
Jinx/Jeansy DHL no batteries - Delivered
terry b DHL no batteries - Delivered
Dydi92 DHL with batteries - RETURNED!
Tuigali DHL with batteries - RETURNED!
bella-headlight Registered no batteries
gravelmonkey Registered no batteries
G0OSE Registered no batteries
Essexman Registered with batteries
As far as I can see, all DHL without batteries are delivered but DHL with batteries have been returned!

Too add to this, anyone that has received their lights from DHL with lights, was there any lithium Ion battery warnings on the out side of the box?
I know there are a few other threads have been started for different topics but I don’t know where or for what so I’ll just ask here,
Does anyone happen to know what the GT’s overall total weight is with cells…??
And for the funny wise guys/gals, I know heavy, but I’m thinking in lbs or kilo’s would be real helpful,
Thank You, and if there is a link to a technical thread I’d appreciate it, I think this thread is mostly shipping issues,
Weighed mine at work 5lbs exactly 8x30Q’s.
Anyone that got batteries, are the Samsung 35E meant to be 3500mah? Mine are all 2600mah batteries.
Charging my cells at the moment so I can try it out when it gets dark!
Quick question which may have already been answered and I missed it, but why do the 35E cells have a 2600mAh sticker on them when they are 3500mAh?

Well that was good timing! haha
