Thanks, Adahn.
Too bad — the Sanrenmu 605 was one of the best little knives made.

What is the best axis lock knife under $20? I like Ganzo FB7603, is it a good knife for this price or is there better one?

Best depends on what kind of knife you want and what you’ll be doing with it.
If by best, you mean good quality and smooth, then for regular EDC tasks, I would say that the Ganzo FB760x and the Y-Start JIN02 are probably some of the best axis locks under $20.
They are both well built and both are very smooth thanks to their bearings.

By best I mean exactly what you wrote. Ordered Ganzo FB7601, looks a tad nicer to my taste with blue accent and CF scales.

For me definitively SanRenMu 7063. Best budget axis lock ever :+1:

It’s nice for sure but I wouldn’t consider it the best.
Plus, with a knife this size, I actually find using the axis lock kind of awkward.
I have both the axis and liner lock versions of the 7063 and I actually prefer the liner lock on this one.

I also prefer the liner lock of 7063 but only because I really like its orange color  Of all Chinese knives I used, SanRenMu 7063 has most razor like, thin blade, extremely good slicer.

I prefer its big brother, the 9063 (also known as the Real Steel E963)

The Ganzo F7611 is also a very good design and it’s on sale at the moment:

You’ll ,not regret to buy the FB7601 for sure
For 20 bucks you’ve got :
- useful blad geomerty with a nice belly
- good steel (it seems, I know nothing about that)
- razor sharp out of the box
- good symmetry of the grinding
- ball bearings !
- great axis lock
- no blade play
- color choice for the G10 scales
lighten body thanks to the big holes
I use mine daily at work

I don’t think that there is any real life benefit to an axis lock, I think it’s more a preference of opening/closing method.
I personally prefer frame locks in general.

I agree, the Ganzo F7611 has one of the best designs from Ganzo lastly.

I wish they made an m1 version (17cm~), it would surely be my new EDC (I currently carry an F753m1)
EDIT : I was thinking of the 7601, not the 7611

Do you guys have any suggestions for a ball bearing flipper? In addition to that i would like:
- Shorter than 16cm fully deployed
- No axis lock
- Pocket clip
Sanrenmu GR-605 seems like a decent knife but would like other suggestions. I dont think the 605 has ball bearings.

Not sure what you call flipper but the GR-605 is not a flipper.
Also. with smaller knives, the effect of ball bearings diminishes, so not too many budget ones available.
The Spyderco Techno clone has ball bearings but is not a flipper.
The Sanrenmu 7076 and Sanrenmu 7090 are 2 small flippers that don’t have bearings but are very smooth.
The Gnome is a nice small flipper on bearings but more expensive.
