I did look a bit at them in my Dragon review. They do improve IR measurement significantly because some wire and connection resistance is eliminated, but they are not perfect. The probes for YR1030 & YR1035 eliminates all connection and contact resistance.

Generally I like your suggestions, but there is one problem and that is money. I use a few 100$ (It is that high) each month on stuff to review and that is acceptable for me, but a lot of our suggestions would basically drain my budget for a few items (A month is nearly 31 days and I publish a review most days). If you want to pay for the item I would gladly review it, but when I have to pay for it, the number of your suggestion that get reviewed is rather low. I am sorry about that , but I do not have unlimited funds (your suggestions are usual very interesting).
On another note: I do seldom ask manufactures about review items, I do not like to beg for anything (That may be silly, but it is how I have learned to live), but if a dealer/manufacturer ask me about reviewing a item I will usual say yes (As long as it is on my review list).
