Astrolux A01 / Manker Boney ā Essentially the same, the A01 had quite a few with NMM, but mine doesnāt (gray). The Boney is I think 1-mode only, which Iād probably prefer.
Odepro EA01 ā Really nice simple elegant light. Got one to review, ruined it with a fān alkaleak. Discontinuedā¦ just my luck. Contacted the nice folx at Odepro (hi Jenna!), scored me another one for <10bux.
Lumintop AAA Nichia ā Beautiful light, sturdy, well-built, but annoying UI that insists on always starting on M, and no memory. Sorry, but Iād rather have a 1-mode donk that was permanently stuck on medium, than a light with modes that always comes on on medium vs having memory or starting on low so you donāt blind yourself at night
Zanflare F3 ā Just got one today, impressed! Typische Zanflare elegance (eg, āsplineā knurling like the F1), good mode spacing with a new AAA (didnāt try yet with an eneloop), firm switch that oozes ādecisivenessā, ie, aināt mooshy at all. A bit too cool-white for my taste, but still a nice light.
Already mentioned the Glaree, also a nice simple light, thinwall tubing making it really lightweight, probably would be a great zipper-pull on a jacket. Nowhere nearly as āheftyā as the Zanflare or Lumintop. (Neither is good nor bad, just depends on what you want/need/expect of the light in question.)
Gotta mention the Jetbeam Āµ, āthough I aināt got one. Lotta people like it.
Wowā¦ and I usually crap on AAA lights as ābetterān nothingā¦ but not by muchā.
Soā¦has anyone tried that RovyVon A2 already?
I see itās available on e-bay with international shipping for as little as $80.
BTW, thereās also a plastic variant, cheaper. And actually better for me because of lower weight, though I do wonder how it handles the heat. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CP6CFX9
Shipping costs totally kill this deal if weāre not in the US
I would or will contact the manufacturer to see if they have these for sale in Europe, or at least if they have a cheap way to ship it to European buyers ! If I get an answer, I will post it here :+1:
Just sent an e-mail as well Did you get any answer yet?
Hum, that Ti version is sweet, but I would be more inclined to the black version (maybe aluminum)!
Apart from being expensive, having a very huge shipping fee and eventually a short capacity battery, these little lights have an awesome look!
Letās see if they answer our mails! :+1:
And thanks for showing their site, I hadnāt seen it before !
So, yesterday I received a reply from RovyVon Team! Here it is:
I also mentioned some other people from BLF would be interested in their lights, and they suggested to make a joint order (that will not be possible as we are from different countries).
Soā¦thatās it! Now Iāll just save some money to get one of those small beauties
Olight i1R EOS. Really tiny, really lightweight. Low/high modes and silky smooth twisting action. I know, I know, non-replaceable cell but this thing is great! I just love mine.
