What did you mod today?

Wait, What? You mean, the emitter isn’t SUPPOSED to gradually turn blue in the first 10 seconds on Turbo?

No, that means you are supposed to buy a triple Nichia 219C board instead.

I wanna learn to mod someday…

Yeah. You are real bad at modding.

How dare you run XPL2s at over 3x their rated current in your Sofirn C8F! Cree engineers must be raging at your incompetence!

I know, I’m bad about stuff like that. I’ll try to get better…

Another take on the DQG Slim Ti extension tube lights I've been liking so much lately :)

Samsung LH351D 4000K 90 CRI
KD DTP MCPCB
Sanded down reflector
FET 15mm driver with guppydrv3 firmware
Thermally controlled
Hand made copper pill & switch housing
Titanium body
14500/ 14250 cell compatible
Magnetic tail (19, 2mm x 2mm magnets)
Metal Switch
Reverse clicky
Max current 4A from Sanyo UR14500P
Around 924lm OTF14250 version

Added a lighted tail to an EagleEye X2R (with stock driver). First tried without bleeder resistor on the driver and 2x 4.7 kOhm on the tail board (the 6 tail leds are parallel with a common resistor before each set of 3), but that resulted in next mode memory (the driver interprets any length of ‘off’ as going to the next mode). Then I tried 2x 8.9 kOhm, and then 2x 22 kOhm. Still next mode memory. Then I added a 680 Ohm bleeder on the driver (between batt+ and ground) and all was well: last mode memory and a well lighted tail.

I wish I had your skills djozz :sunglasses:

CRX, I notice you’re not a big fan of pocket clips… ? Great job on the ext tubes :+1:

Thanks mate. Yeah I don’t usually do pocket clips as I have found it is a great way to lose things being very active but here you go

Have to agree with CRX, pocketclips just don’t work well for me either…

I notice that CRX is moving away from cold white emitters :+1: . I use my pocket clips just as anti roll.

True, but the SST-40 6500K still rules

The SST-40 only rules when it can be allowed to pull close to 10A, at lower current draws from smaller cells it’s not as big a difference and the XM-L2 U4’s efficiency overtakes the cold white Luminus.

Aah yes, I understand. Whilst it is not ugly to me I really don’t like the clip-on style pocket clips.

Why am I not surprised you take edc’s to the extreme :open_mouth: That one is a shocker  :person_facepalming:

I took a picture of my copper X5 XHP-50.2 and the BTU Shocker then photoshopped the clip from the X5 onto the Shocker just for chits and grins.

This BTU Shocker is using 3 of the 9V variant MT-G2 for around 10,000 lumens.

Yeh, I didn’t look closely at it but figured it was just for giggles. A 10,000 lm edc :smiling_imp:

hi CXR. How can you disassemble tac-o-click? My PK fell into the water so i need your help. Please.thanks bro

This light would work much better as a Key Chain version ——- :person_facepalming:

I have a Titanium X6 from Rey that utilizes 3 XHP-50.2 for over 10,000 lumens, entirely pocketable of course. Uses 2 of the Aspire 18350 cells. 11,230 or something like that, out the front. It’s pretty mind boggling really.

<—- that’s it in my Avatar. Complete with all it’s Tritium inserts.

Edit: Um, well, it’s pocketable BEFORE you run it in Turbo!
