Will 2x 26350 cells increase lumen output? I wonder if you can use a boost driver to swap in the XHP35 HI.
You only get max output with a single cell for a brief moment, something like if voltage is above 4.0V. Then max output will reduce with depleting cell.
With two cells you get max output until cells are depleted, unless the driver is designed to do otherwise.

Hopefully, one of lexel’s existing drivers with narsil fits this light. I’m hoping the driver size is about 22mm.
The driver seems to be of similar size as the battery, so I’m guessing about 26 mm. But maybe there is enough room to piggyback an after market driver.
Ah that makes perfect sense since you can maintain the voltage. In that case, I’m really looking forward to the 8x18650 extension for the MT09R.
The 8x18650 tubes are designed to maintain the same voltage as the standard 4x18650 tubes, so the situation is different. But maybe Lexel could design a driver for the MT09R 70, with 4S battery configuration, so you always have sufficient voltage for full ~22k lumen output.

I can’t but help feel that when there is new money to be made, Terry is prompt in his responses. Such as posting about what he has in stock or new sales promotions that he’s pushing (constantly these days it seems). However, when it comes to customers where he already has their money, i.e. the sc26 GB members, his responses are slow or simply he doesn’t respond.
I remember Terry scurrying to get reviews of the MT09R up as soon as he got the sample. But with the sc26, it seems like he’s not that motivated to put up a review. I can’t help but feel like something fishy is going on, like maybe there was some mix-up and he actually doesn’t have a sample in hand.
Well at the least based on the exchanges with Terry about the sc26 shipment, we can assume that the lights have been shipped by 5/6/2018. I can only assume that the package would take about a month to get to Terry, so the package should arrive on our shores about 6/6/2018. I can only make these assumptions since Terry never followed up with an update about the tracking information on the sc26 shipment. Terry posted that it takes 3 days after the package is shipped to get the tracking information (he posted on 5/6), so way more than 3 days have passed since then so I’m sure there must be some tracking information available. However, again Terry doesn’t feel like it’s necessary to give us a promised update.
I think that everyone in this GB just want some answers and periodic updates on what’s going on since ALL of the promised deadlines have been blown.

He said he has the sample. So he does have it. Why would he lie?
What my concern is, it’s not all that was promised, and people may dispute on PayPal, and he loses those sales, and puts him in a bad spot. I am surprised people have not cancelled order yet.
I don’t know why he would lie either, maybe a dog ate the sample? I think some people have cancelled their orders, and I for one am close to doing so. However, for thirty odd dollars, I’m willing to let it ride and hope that Terry pulls through since it seems like we are close to the finish line (we have all waited long and patiently). It could also be that others like me, are part of the MT09R GB. The MT0R GB worked out in the end, even though I ended up spending more money on the light than I planned (I purchased TA’s driver, since I didn’t know when HL was going to pull through with a revised driver and if the revised driver would work properly). But distinctly with the MT09R GB, Terry was a lot more responsive and the timeline was quicker than this GB.
Many people are probably on the verge, and if his review is less than perfect, people will bail, and that would put him in a bad spot.
what is Paypals policy on filing? Is it 180 days? This started in early Feb. I’m tired of this ignorance. If he had a sample like he said he did, why wouldn’t he have posted some info about it? Smacks of deceit. Refund.
