Hi, straight question. Is there a stock Astrolux MF02 or its Mateminco sibling with XHP70 or 70.2? I like its size format and reflector, but have no use for a true thrower. The new MF04s looks interesting but i find it too big for my needs. To sum up, im looking for something similar to Acebeam K65.
Dang, thats bad news.Is there some mod-kit available, so i would only replace the MF02 guts without need for reflowing etc? I can solder, but nothing too complicated.
I like xhp70.2 for the close range. The hotspot is not only tight but it will also give massive flood lumen… since i have a blf gt xhp70.2, mf02 xhp70.2 is not a big deal anymore…
OP, maybe you should try the stock mf02 xhp35 and play with it… stock mf02 is pretty good price with the group buy… if you dont like it, you can always mod to Xhp70.2.
Here is the mateminco mt35 xhp70.2 aka mf02 xhp70.2 beamshot video from skylumen.
So Neal was that kind to get me bin info for both NW and CW version:
NW: XHP70B 3B P2 D0 B
CW: XHP70B 1A P2 D0 B
I checked the Cree specs chart but not sure what the letter codes precisely means. I assume 3B = 5000K, 1A=6500K, can you help me figure out the rest? Is there any way how to tell the NW tint quality here? By all means, I would like to avoid ugly greenish tints. Instead would prefer something like the tint of BLF Q8, pure white.
Interesting. I also wasnt aware. Wonder what is the delay reason till Mateminco gets “Astroluxified”. This could be my budget friendlier alternative to Acebeam K65 type of high output thrower. Would nevertheless like to see such type of light made for BLF, with better UI, switch, driver etc. One day maybe.
