I received the Nitenumen X1 order yesterday. In summary:
- No mode memory. Sequence is High-Medium-Low-Strobe-SOS-Off. It has to be played all the way, no way to turn it off directly.
- Small size, hardly bigger than a 18650 cell.
- Takes button top cells only
- Warms up very fast. In 5 minutes it became too hot to hold in High mode. No sign of temperature regulation, I switch it off to avoid meltdown.
- Spring was too flat to make contact, I had to bend it with a plier.
- Scaling is poor, Low mode is too bright. Actually, flashlight is noticeably hot in Low mode
- Comes in a nice paper box, with USB cable, spare o-ring and charger cover
USB charging terminates at 4.24V - acceptable, not too high to damage Li-ion cell

It looks like they wasted the potential of making a nice light.

Exactly… They already had good driver like the one used in NE01 so this is disappointing. No long press to turn off is major drawback imho.
It’s a shame because I like the look of this light, the compact size and steel head…
What about modding potential? Is it glued or there’s driver access? In light of the above driver swap is essential.
