thanks , no chance :person_facepalming: why ask…
Manker released an anniversary model not too long ago. Not only was this model offered in a very similar champagne colour, it is also machined from 7075 aluminium which is very rarely used for flashlights. Therefore I wondered whether there was a relation, like the same manufacturer for example.

Description of the UI, from their website:
How to operate the light? (NarsilM Version 1.2)
By Default Ramping:
Single click switches lamp ON ; Single click switches lamp OFF.
Click followed by long hold =starts from moon and ramps up
Long Hold the switch = ramps up or ramps down
2x clicks =full max brightness level
3x clicks = battery check
4x clicks= lock out on/off (4x short blinks)
5x clicks= momentaryReset to factory in Ramping
The lamp can be OFF or ON:
3x , 2x , 2x, press&hold (for 1.2sec) till 4 blinks
If you use ramping UI only , do not hold the button for over 8 sec, it will enter configuration setting. If you enter the configuration setting by mistake, do not do any clicks, long holding the button will quit the setting.
To Enter further configuration setting , please read the paper manual carefully.
Thanks for the test results. This is the first time I see this test from a flashlight manufacturer :+1:
I plugged in the X & Y values for the 219B 4500k and got a DUV of –0.0106 and the for the XPLHI version and got 0.0023.

The 219B 4500k will be very rosy magenta, which is what the 219B 4500k is known for so seems legit!
BTW, I thought I saw a picture showing an all silver version but I don’t see it any more. Not sure if my memory is playing tricks on me. But I’m going to get the gold one with the 219B 4500k.
Those lumen ratings puts this one even above the legendary Noctigon Meteor M43, which is pretty incredible considering it is run on 3-cells vs 4-cells on the M43. We just need some runtime graphs from someone like Maukka

Boy, that really looks nice but sorry, not for $98.00.
Nice light fireflies!
With great emitters of course (but I can do emitters myself), but the form factor, build and looks are great too!
Very desirable

The super popular Noctigon Meteor came out at $128 for the XPG2 emitters and doesn’t even make as much lumens as this one. Their XP-L Hi version cost $180 for people who wanted to squeeze more lumens out of the M43. $98 is not a bad price at all considering how well it performs (on paper at least). This is the brightest 3 cell flashlight I’ve seen, has Narsil UI, and very attractive premium look. High quality, well designed products cost more money than run of the mill bargain products. That’s why iphones cost more than other phones because of heavy R&D cost and premium materials.
People always want highest quality and the best of everything yet don’t want to pay for it. High quality products are more expensive to produce and manufacturers develop products to sell for profit not for charity.

$98 is well out of my budget for a single flashlight (for now ) but assuming it is as promised, it seems like good value when compared against similar lights.
i am very interested
I def want a Nichia version! I placed an order for one.

219Bs are normally a little rosy, but this is the sw45k tint bin, which is very rosy, plus R9080 CRI bin, which is better than the usual R9050.
This is a very rare emitter. I’m surprised and pleased to see it offered on the first product from a new manufacturer, especially along with Narsil firmware. I’m really curious as to who’s behind this company and what their ties are to the flashlight community. One does not come out of nowhere and design a light like this.
Yep I wonder the same thing. It is like a flashlight lover’s dream light come true but coming from an unheard of brand. I also wonder where they get the ultra rare 9080 219B nichias that is not available anywhere besides from Clemence in limited quantities.
I ordered the 219B version with gold. This will render my Astrolux MF01 and Noctigon M43 obsolete.
Tint looks very nice
The flashlight is beautiful. When the group buy at a better price, i buy the flashlight.

The M43 is at least constant current with its boost driver so there is something unique there.
