Hello folks,
I had my charger on my shed floor ( it’s cooler down there) and a wood chisel fell and impacted the screen , it didn’t break but just left a scuff mark on it & where it impacted there is a bluish splodge , it still charges but the screen is blank so I can’t see any information, I suppose I could still use it by using the app to see the info.
So what I need to know is ,can the screen be easily replaced ?
Do anywhere sell them separately?
Has anyone got a none working one but with a good screen that they would sell?
For a piece of kit like that I’d just try and contact the manufacturer, maybe they will ship you a new display board.
It’s easy to exchange as it’s just mounted with couple screws connects via a plug, so there’s not even any need for soldering.
I’ve contacted skyrc & waiting for a reply , I’m not optimistic though.
I just recieved a reply from skyrc & they said they don’t sell spare parts & they don’t advise to dismantle it ,( they probly prefer I buy a new one lol) .
So I’ll just have to use it with the app , unless someone has a defunked unit that they would sell which has a good display.
Aren’t there any markings on the screen somewhere? It’s probably a standard screen not designed by/for SkyRC, so you might be lucky and find it somewhere with the right Serial number.
I’m not sure , I wouldn’t want to take it apart unless I can get a screen , I’ve hered they are a bitch to get back together.
Yes please thank you very much , send me your details & I’ll send you some money :+1: :+1: :+1:

Hey Nev, glad Maukka was able to help you. I hope it makes your charger as good as new
I’ll send you the screen from my “broken MC3000”: if you pay postage (about 5€)
Maukka, I’m just curious, what happened to cause the MC3000 to be broken?
I mean, did it just fail suddenly, or due to wear-and-tear?
Couple of the spring posts snapped, I “fixed” it with cable ties, put it back together but something probably shorted with the metal rails and that happened after I powered it on.
Update
It’s been fitted & alls working fine again , thank you very much Muakka :+1:
Good to hear!
