Lumintop mini GT

already by regular mail so fast ?? was yours tracking also LX NL ?

No, i got DHL tracking..yesterday morning normal one like 003xxxxxxx no Country sign in it. Yes regular DHL delievery.

Ok weird, why not use dhl for all countries in EU ? o well happy for u Smile

komeko, dont be sad it shouldnt take that long, i dont think they are using the super slow china mail that takes weeks or months i think its faster mail service. when i buy stuff from banggood i chose “direct mail” and get track numbers LX NL and it takes like a week or so to deliver to my mailbox in sweden so thats fast from china…

the shipping company provide Germany ,UK a DHL regular mail
so they are fast.
some three days delivery

I have LZ CN so probably over a month of waiting. In addition, I’m going on vacation so I’ll probably get the package as I come back. Sadly.

Maybe that’s why my package goes straight from china because I ordered the NW version and not the CW version. McLight, I see yours is CW.

Ya, cause i like cold light.. Innocent

I would think DHL could charge 50% or more of the lights price. I’m surprised.

I thought earlier there was no way it would ship DHL.

With the Sanyo GA recharged from last night’s walk, it pulls 2.86A at the top of the ramp and 5.89A in Turbo.

Beam shots are tough these days, the county is completely rebuilding the road in front of our house, down to about 20” deep. Fresh crusher fines on top of dirt, no rain in weeks with temps over 100º every day… the road is unbelievably dusty. Supposed to be a 45mph speed limit even before construction, you’d think people would go even slower with all the gravel and machinery and what not, but NOOooooo! 60-70 mph trailing a massive dust cloud that drifts and settles over everything. Our mailbox has dirt inside it. The air, even up here at the house 300 yds from the road, looks like it’s snowing, thick with dust at all times.

So they are using a green led on the switch, rather than the dim red led. Nice!

Bezel glued on with Blue Loctite on my production sample. Gonna be a bear getting off it you don’t have significant tools to attack it with.

Flashed Anduril and swapped in the Samsung LH351D 5000k 80 CRI… it now makes 1552 lumens on this new emitter with zero other changes. Still the Sanyo GA cell, not quite fully charged.

Got the LYCN tracking from Martin – say “package accepted” in CHINA 8/2. EMS. (USA, just like teacher). I’m not going to worrry about it. Probably see positive motion into/thru US sometime next week if I’m lucky.

Keep those pics coming!

Replaced the FET with an SIR800DP, added 18ga leads, spring bypass on driver, removed mcpcb at tail cap and put a copper disc with only the larger spring in place and a 20ga bypass inside the spring. So now, on the Sanyo GA cell, it makes 1683.6 lumens at start.

I mention in post 173 and 175 that they should be very comparable to each other. Very close. The big difference is just styling.

I’m sure as more people recieve their package we will get more info. It’s still early.

The D1S and GT mini are essentially the same light. The drivers on both are press fit in and glued. They are almost the same size. Driver’s are similar in function… the D1S was kept simpler by the mfr.s wishes. Beam profile too is very similar and they can both be tweaked to pretty high output. The D1S has a short thread on top of the tube and at the driver, can be problematic with longer cells like button tops and protected cells. At the end of the day they really are similar lights but with different design. If both are flashed with Anduril so they perform the same, the differences are really very minimal. I have 2 D1s’s and the GT mini, I like em very much, both for different reasons.

Last night, stock light, looking down the road-under-construction in front of our house…

This afternoon, broke in through the Blue Loctite…

A look at the tail cap with the copper disc replacing the pcb…

The business end, showing the new Samsung LH351D 5000K 80 CRI with the dome left on…

FWIW, once the loctite was defeated removal of the driver was easy. De-soldered the emitter leads then ran a small jewelers screwdriver alongside the black wire to the driver, couple of bumps on the screwdriver and the driver was free.
