JST SH connector. You need 5.5mm or better 6mm hole.

Shorts specs:

*0.7mOhm FET, bottom pcb and fet drain is soldered directly to brass case, this eliminates additional contact resistances (those can be higher than FET resistance itself) which are present in classical PCB-retainer tailcap

*ultra-capacitor as auxiliary supply – practically unlimited life, reliable, fast charge, no need to replace it unlike coin batteries

*0-600uA Constant current channel for illumination LEDs

*Press-button momentary switch

*Configuration mode – adjustable illumination brightness, switch UI style, lockout, short-long time threshold set, factory reset.

Switch style 1 works like this: short click changes mode (short-long time threshold can be adjusted in config. mode, default is 0.4sec), long click turns flashlight off. From off, flashlight is turned on at switch press.

Switch style 2 works in the opposite way, short click is on-off, long click cycles through modes.

Entering into config. mode is done by holding switch from off for few sec and entering password after that, config. mode is very similar to LD-x4 config. mode, with table based menu/sub-menu.

For now I plan to have versions for Convoy S, M, C8 lights (with rubber tailcap), and EE X6 lights, also can be other lights which have compatible Convoy/X6 tailcap parts.

I can make custom versions for some other lights if there is enough interest.

Style 2 ui is gonna work great for me. This is amazing stuff. I’m definitely taking one so my shopping cart is parked for now on your site.

Astrolux MF01 Mini, BLF Q8, BLF A6, BLF FW3A, BLF FW3C, Convoy L6, Convoy C8+ , Convoy S3, Convoy M21A, Convoy S11, Emisar D4, Fireflies E07, Jaxman E2L, Lumintop EDC18, Manta Ray C8.2 long version, Olight S1R Baton II special edition series, S2R Baton II, Nitecore HC65, Olight H1R Nova.

Got some 6x optics, problem with 7x ANNA is that central optics must be shorted by few mm by drilling or similar tools to make room for wires.

Also yesterday tried this C8 with DD on high option enabled, just to see what is max. practical output.

Luxmeter with CC @18A showed 380lux at start, with DD on high enabled output increased to 450lux at start, or about 6000lm OTF. Not bad for 90CRI.

This means max. current is about ~24-25A with VTC5A. Light heats up noticeably faster vs. CC @18A.

Hopefully I can mod your parts for Manta Ray C8.2.
I am waiting for some parts in your shop, such as Luxeon V 90CRI, C8 Spacer, possibly fitting Momentary Tailcap-Switch and so on.

When did you think, you will get the Luxeon V 90CRI?

You mean Luxeon MZ 90CRI? Luxeon V is still not released in 90CRI.

For now I will only have spacers and tailcaps for Convoy C8 and EE X6, next possible candidate is Sofirn C8F 21700 host.

It looks much better than with empty optics. Will it be available in your store?
And what will be the price for spacer for C8?

I will offer 6x ANNA within C8 DIY kits for now, I have limited number of them. Price of spacer is yet to be determined, I will have first batch this week.

The LD-B4HV. Can someone tell me what the different connection points in this image are: https://ibb.co/kwGCL9

+ battery power is on the back side
- battery power is on the edge (I)

A is + LED, B is – LED and C is gate?

This driver should turn on when connected to power (without switch) ?

Ok, wasn’t sure since that is not exactly the same driver.

But then I guess my A is A in the datasheet (LED +). My B is S in the datasheet (LED – ). My C is G in the datasheet (gate) like I thought.

Thank you!

I glanced at your picture but there are indeed a few differences mentioned on the product page as well. Maybe it’s best to wait for LED4Power to confirm.

Hi Neven, can you already estimate when the new e-switch driver for Convoy C8F 21700 will be ready for sale?

Best regards, Thomas

Hm, I didn't mention any e-switch driver for C8F? Do you mean subZero FET switch for C8 (which uses e-switch)?

What driver do you recommend for C8, 1x Luxeon MZ, Fet switch?

Depends on what you want, max. output light, or light for general use, so max. current can be anywhere from 3Amp to 15Amps. 12Amps looks like sweet spot for hot rods.

Sorry if I mixed something up here. I assumed there is a LD4 driver planned with e-switch firmware on it to work with the C8F.

I asked some months ago here: http://budgetlightforum.com/comment/1336561#comment-1336561

I remember someone asked, well good news is that I will finally start with driver design upgrade and new firmware .This will take some time, but I think it will be worthy.

Luxeon MZ 5700K 90CRI (9080 Nichia rating)  are finally here, flux bin is R!

Maukka tested MZ LED from Mouser before, it seems Mouser's reel is either high P bin,or low Q bin.

I trust more to Maukka's test since he has much more professional equipment.

He measured 805lm @2800mA,~25C, datasheet says lumen output at ~25C is ~6% more than at 85C, which means light output @85C for that LED would be ~760lm.

So that LED from Mouser is either high P bin, or low Q bin.

I will send sample to Maukka for lumen test, just to see where within R bin this reel is.

With this R bin, most single MZ builds should be capable of ~3000lm OTF of crisp white 90CRI light at 15Amps.
