Years back you could buy a Z1 lens at Banggood. But thats over and the lens size is not so common. Thats the reason i bought a Dust Cover from KD (http://kaidomain.com/KDC-Dust-Cover-for-LED-Flashlight).

I'm using a Convoy C8 holster and that covers the needs of protecting and carrying.

I also had a lot of dust on the underside of the lens so I used the lent removal sticker from a hardened glass cell phone screen protector kit. I suppose some types of tape would do the trick, too.

Personally I don’t see it as a hijacking jmpaul320 since BG now have raised the price of this host back to their usual ridiculous normal price, you might as well try to sell your light where it’s going to get some action, I’ve got two about to arrive any day now and the more I think about the original GB lights which I have two of I’m not so sure I want to even mess with this light again so will probably put up 4 for sale myself. They are worth more than $15.99 that’s for sure.
I don’t recall ever finding an extension and of course you don’t ask Jaxman..! For any parts that might fit this light..! They don’t fit and won’t work anyhow.

There are a variety of extension tubes 26650
I have only 1 Convoy L2 tube, cannot fit cometa different threads
Please try others and report if there is a compatible tube.

Ohhhh, I am so deeply saddened by the emails from BG. They will send the replacement lights, only without the Vappower cells. Crying

How can I go on? I am crushed…

Maybe, maybe not. You will find out.

Certainly not at the current stupid Banggood prices, is there any intelligent product manager supervising these pricing decisions ?

So you will be looking for more than $16, plus postage (from the US, not cheap), plus some profit, and no warranty. And almost certainly needing some, or a lot, of DIY fixing up.

Whereas you could just buy the real thing from Jaxman for not much more, with the Aliexpress backup. (sorry to sound like a stuck record).

Glad that you have seen the light…

Otherwise it seems to me that you are stuck in the same position as Banggood, on a smaller scale, with a load of toxic stock that you just want rid of. But aren’t prepared to compromise on price, or take a small loss. Which is very stupid.

Consolidate your losses and put it behind you.

And please don’t continue bigging-up this thing as a great torch. I won’t bore everyone else with the back-story again.

I have tried to ignore your ignorant rants, you are an complete idiot and for your information I have been friends with the owner of Jaxman for years and I was the one who had to tell him that Banggood and Manker had conned him out of lenses and made a poor copy of his flagship light the Z1, so don’t talk to me about back stories because you don’t know anything about this issue all you do is run your mouth, your a fool and are not wanted on this thread so shut your face.
It has been my hopes to buy these out of existence so know one gets hurt but I sure don’t need to hear any garbage from the likes of you who has probably never even seen a real Jaxman light least of all own any, and I’ve never said a word about this being a great light but it’s a great host for what it is.
I don’t know who you thing you are but I’m certain your a nobody who gets his kicks out of running his mouth about things he knows nothing about, your a stone cold idiot.
I own anywhere from 3 to 6 models of every Jaxman light ever made and for the longest time I was generally the first to get a copy of a new design to give my personal opinion of the light.
So shut up and be gone you clown.

How U.S. Customs treats a Jaxman light, complete disassembly,

And there’s many many more you idiot… Now go away, you know nothing about Jaxman lights and I am sick of your running your mouth..!!

The Cometa just came back at discounted price in CN Warehouse. The second time I got it. There are at least three good reasons to do so. The combination of 50mm AR coated lens, brass pill, direct drive and 26650 battery is unique at this price level. It is much smaller than the Haikelite HT35 and should throw similarly. And every other cinese zooming light may have even more and worse issues and that without any of all these nice extra features.

Man
It’s even cheaper now.
13,43 EUR – for the driver and the lens alone that would be a good price…
So, now I soon have one more – I don’t mind at all Big Smile
Is there any reasonable mod for this light? (I mean some other LED or so, not the safety stuff)
Edit: Any chance to get rid of the donut?
Does someone know the measurements of the tailcap-LEDs?

If this zoomie out throws my L2, I'll either sell it or upgrade the L2 with an XH-P 70 and driver. I suppose if I sell the L2, I could buy another Cometa, 2* 26350s, FET 2S driver and an XH-P.

Any other LED suggestions?

1667 and 1758 mAh for my two, oh well I didn’t have much expectation for them. They do appear to be protected, any danger of using them anyway? Anyone know what cell is in there?

I would just ditch them. Cells that have twice the capacity, 5 times the current handling and 10 times the safety (even without protection board) cost under 5 dollar nowadays.

I stripped the protection crap off mine, I got (4) of them, they’re alright, good enough in single emitter lights. They have a purple wrap underneath with this marking.. JX JW 18650-1800mAh 3.7V 2018/07/16 18F24C

Well, when I bought ~12h ago, there were 14 left, after I bought 1.
Now 13.
Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, but whatever.

@-X3-: Will try that, thanks! Never used the LH351D before, perfect opportunity

Hey in case he breaks 11 he’ll have a spare.

Logical IMO.

Or if they’re really that bad, you could scavenge parts to make at least 1 good one. LOL

Oh no ... you bought 12 ?

I sure hope you don’t plan on selling them to unsuspecting widows and orphans. You’ll have to sit thru a grueling two lecture series about safety issues and maybe learn about the exciting new offers now available with regards to condos and time share ownership.

Now only 3 Big Smile could not resist.

I rearranged the leds. The SBT-70 is going into the 1504 (the much bigger lens is a better fit for the led also the light can handle the heat a bit better).
The two Cometas will be fun. One gets a Rebel Lime and one a Osram LCG H9RN.
