I was thinking more of proof of life
Well we know at least one of the prototypes works. Didn’t TK mention she’s been EDCing hers for the last year?
Show me the insides
I asked for a photo of the driver on the battery side, I got a written description.
Call me crazy, but sometimes I just like to see a flashlight turned on.
Please put me down for one more unit (2 in total), thanks!
I’d also get one more - 2 in total and each with different emiter.

There’s also this:
Another small update, the driver is basically done Here are the pictures from oshpark. … and this:
Looks like I’m the first one to get a prototype. Here are some images and early observations about it. Note: This is only a first prototype. The FW3A is still in development, and all issues mentioned here should be fixed before release. The prototype appears to use new host parts designed for this light, but some of the components are probably just whatever Lumintop had laying around. For example, it has cool white XP-G2 emitters instead of neutral white XP-G3, and the driver’s 7135 chips are …
I was thinking more of proof of life
Proof of life just came in about an hour ago, taken at Lumintop’s office.
This is XPLHI 3D, ~4875K. (Driver issues reportedly already addressed and fixed.)
Thanks, TK and Tatasal
I’m in for one LH351D, please and thank you!
I’m in for TWO with LH351D. THX!
Please put me on the list for a second light (so 2 in total).
The grey anodised version looks awesome and reminds me so much of Peter Gransee’s ARC4 flashlight circa 2004 (actually designed by HDS Systems)… I remember waiting with baited breath for that one as well!
Actually, if you look at the specs, there was much in the ARC4 that we see today - microprocessor control, fully regulated, user selectable brightness levels - all that and a vast 30 lumens for just a couple of hundred bucks - well, it was 15 years ago!
Huge thanks to the FW3A team and especially to TK for making this all possible, otherwise we’d still be stuck back in 2004….

Fixed that for ya!
Thanks for the recent updates!
By the way, separate from all the insistent noise in this thread, quite a few of us are just quietly but regularly checking in on the thread, keeping patient. We appreciate all who have put in efforts to bring this project to fruition.
Looks awesome, thanks for all the hard work you put in to make this possible. All people that made it possible.
Also, instead of 1 of each emitter, i would like to change to 2 of LH351D 4000K 90CRI.
Thanks
Im in for 2

Thanks tatasal and TK. RC exactly how I feel
djozz: teacher:When people are depending on you & your input about something, so that it may come to completion… there is absolutely no excuse on earth to just ‘disappear & go totally silent’ unless you are dead, totally incapacited , or lost in a remote wilderness area. No excuse at all.
It makes no difference if life happens, you lose interest, you get mad, whatever.
It takes about a minute or two to make a short post or send an email saying you quit & pass the torch on to someone else.
My opinion:
2) For Fritz and most others this project is part of his hobby. Essential to hobby is that there are no obligations. If he feels like it he may disappear and go silent just like that, for any or no reason. It is a pity for Lumintop, Toykeeper and all other people who have hope for his continuing input, and a message explaining why is welcome (you’d be surprised how much effort it takes to write a simple message in a situation where people are so demanding as in this thread), but actually demanding anything is totally out of place.
I have to agree with teacher on this one. If you are just participating as an individual in a hobby, then sure you can just go dark with no explanation or obligation, but when you are the founder and organizer of a movement involving 200 pages, over 6000 posts and 2000 commitments to order a product, then you DO have an obligation as a regular decent human being to at least keep people informed of your intentions. especially considering you are still logging into the site. It’s complete crap to claim that you have no obligation to even post “I quit” at that point. Sure everyone is busy with life, but how many of us would use that as excuse to leave over 1200 people waiting on even a few words for over 6 months? That’s majorly uncool.
LOL! Just saw you had my Mentos Tower as your pic.
