Looks to me that the whole heatsink, light engine and head is made of a single piece of aluminum I think it can have a good heat transfer.
What do you notice that makes you think that?

It is a chunk of a flashlight, at 2000 lumen to warm up before you can not touch it may take more than 10 minutes, and with its surface area (even without a lot of fins) I estimate it can maintain the 2000 lumen without disasters. It will become too hot to the touch over time.
