FW3A, a TLF/BLF EDC flashlight - SST-20 available, coupon codes public

I’m down for one.

Please count me in for one of each:

 • 1 XP-L HI
 • 1 LH351D

I haven’t tested different optics with the XP-L HI yet, but will post numbers later with the 10507. You’ll probably gain about 20-40% more candela.

With the narrow clear optic and the xpl-hi you should be able to hit 12,000 lux. Using SkyLumen specs his lights achieve 15,000 lux.

Same here, A and D. Didn’t realize that was a color pic. Very nice!

Please add me for another

It looks as though there might be enough shelf space up front to fit a 4x mtnmcpcb, is this true?

Would love a beamshot of the xpl-hi-3D :3

Though I may end up trying to mod the sst-20 dogf4rts into it for even more throw…cant wait!

Can i add 2 more lights to my order?

Yeah, the Emisar D4 XP-G2 are actually quite a nice tint of rose. I was really surprised and I have 2 of those and 2 of the XP-L Hi 4000k as well.

Can you show us how the final implementation of the tail e-switch was achieved? Is it still a separate inner tube?

Yes, there’s an inner tube.

Thank you for all that info! Does this mean the lowest it will go is 3.6 lumens? Thank you!

I’d like to sign up for 1 XPL-Hi version.

No, that’s just the lowest mode on the default stepped ramp mode. It will go much lower.

Thank you sir for the information!

To get more throw then, I may order the 10507 Carclo Lens - 3-UP Narrow Spot Optic from Mt Electronics at the same time I order the FW3A. This seems like a simple-enough mod. Thanks again!

Edited:
Any standard Carclo triple optic of the right size should work, such as the ones sold at MtnElectronics. This includes 10507, 10511, 10508, 10509, and 10510. The 10507 optic makes the most throw, but also makes virtually every emitter look ugly. So the default is 10511 because it provides the most throw available without causing strong beam artifacts. It can also be polished to increase throw, while still producing a nicer-looking beam than 10507.
It appears that the 10511 optic may be a good choice also.

I just can’t believe the amount of work that goes into these projects. I’m assuming that we’ll have opportunity to donate to those who have worked so diligently once the light is available?

Speaking of which, I believe I am currently in for 2 lights (#934 & 935). I would actually like to up this to 6 total, 3 of each emitter option.

Thanks again, everyone!

Please put me down for an additional light, one with each emitter please

I may have to get 2 instead of one. Add one more for me. (one of each emitter)

Please mark me down for two, one of each emitter. Thank you!

I guess to clarify for me, being down for 2 lights, I would get one in each emitter
