What blade did you EDC today?

Blur

Im carrying this around with me lately. Got it from aliexpress. Looks nothing like an AK47 as advertised on the sellers listing but i like it.

A friend came by last night and left this with me for the week!

Now that is a nice super simple and clean looking knife. I am assuming it’s in the “Todd can’t afford it” category.

I need new friends like him!

Kizer Mini Sheepdog for me:

Yeah this guy is pretty firmly in the “most people can’t afford it” category. Even at 1/2 the price it would be hard justify owning.

Bummer because it would make a great EDC knife. Blade is about 3.25”, has a great full flat grind, slim profile and weighs in @ 2.3oz.

Yes he’s a very good (and successful) friend

CS Broken Skull, LM Rebar, Victorinox Compact

Very cheap bad clone of the original made by a small cutler in France. couper au couteau

SOG Vulcan with San Mai blade. I noticed the 3 slots cut into the blade and eventually it occurred to me that tritium vials might fit. Sure enough, they did.

1 Thank

Green Thorn PERO flipper:

That would go well with a Zebralight!

Packing the Enlan EL-10 today …

Put a new edge on the Sprint today… I don’t know why I always wait so long to get rid of factory edges.

I forgot who asked me about where to get one of these, but I’ve been seeing them pop up all over lately. BladeHQ, GP Knives, PVK Vegas, and probably others all have several styles in stock.

I chose it for my dog!

That’s a good looking knife rcwiily!! He must be a good friend.

Sorry to ask, but I don’t recognize it. What is it??

Yes very good friend…I still have it

It’s a Shirogorov Hation Lite

Thanks for the info. Maybe he’ll leave it with you a few more days…

Thought I’d throw this info out about a new knife design that’s up on Kickstarter and although not a “budget” knife, it is significantly discounted from what the retail price will be. It’s definitely not for everyone with a 1” blade but for light use users could be an interesting EDC choice.

It is 100% made in the USA in Garland, Texas and has a unique patent pending Bolt Lock (see the video on Kickstarter)

Normally I avoid Kickstarter products because I’ve ended up with some junk in the past but this is his 12th Kickstarter campaign and his previous products have been well received.

A few notes:

Replacement blades will be available for $20-25 and possibly in other steels than D2 if the campaign does “really well” and with $50k+ raised the first day it may hit “really well” status.

There will also be a version coming out that uses hobby style and surgical disposable blades.

I have no affiliation with this product but thought I’d share if anyone is interested earlybird pricing is in effect for the next 20 hours as of this post.
