Fantastic to hear that DBSAR!
I was slowly getting nervous after not hearing about any significant progress since last year and now we are even close to a production model! And $50 is totally fine for a lantern like this.
For those of you who havenât already done so nowâs the time to verify that your blf name is correct on either of the linked spreadsheets (post #2). PM Notifications will be automatically generated based on the names in those spreadsheets so if your name is incorrect then you wonât be getting a PM.
This is a one-time check so once verified then youâre good to go. Only send me a PM if your name is wrong.
DBSAR make them send you a second lens / cup /acrylic part.
So you can test when it will break.
The rim of the top part locks a bit thin. A bit more Aluminium would be good
I donât expect this as the last prototype, as you said there are a lot of new parts.
Thanks for the support. I do need to do more videos of flashlight & lanterns, and will definitely soon, especially once this BLF LT1 lantern project gets rolling.
I think the basic model could use a modified version of Anduril. Basically just set to the multi mode group instead of ramping, and possibly some high number of clicks to unlock Anduril so the normies donât accidentally change things.
This is fantastic news, been following for some time. As a long time lurker, this is the project that made me join BLF to get in on the action, very much looking forward. Thank you to all whoâve invested their time and resources to realize this lantern.
This is great! Itâll be right in time for the summer hiking season. Any news on whether the final product will have usb C? Iâm really hoping it does, itâd be great to carry a single cable for both the ft03 and LT1.
I really hope it does, at this point Iâd rather have no charging then have to deal with micro usb, every mico usb cable I had always seems to fail at the worst moments.
