Thanks! I think the main issue now is shipping and importation into Australia - they’re pretty strict on that kind of thing, IIRC. GearBest are more than happy to ship stuff, but I don’t really want to order things then have them stopped at the border and destroyed.
:person_facepalming: . That did sound like a commercial didn’t it?
But yeah…. I do like it. At $10 it is a no brainer & from what I have seen “so far” it stacks up darn good against some of my knives that cost MUCH more.
The land knives are also excellent, I have the G-10 version with liner lock of that one, and the Ruike P801 which is almost the same as the one you listed, pretty sure they come from same factory/manufacturer. You really can’t go wrong with these knives, only issue I had is they like to put thick slightly stinky grease on the pivots, and sometimes loctite on scale screws so it’s not easy to disassemble if you want to clean the grease off the bearings and replace with oil.
Is THIS ONE the ‘Land’ you are referring to Blackbeard? I have one of these that should be here tomorrow.
LAND 910 Plus Liner Lock
It says it has a 12C27 stainless steel blade and G10 handles.
12C27 is a Swedish stainless by Sandvik. It is a decent steel too.
Does yours hold an edge pretty good??
I have not seen the ’Ruike P801’ you mentioned… I’ll have to find it & check it out.
Yeah thats the one, it’s a little heavy, but has great action and very sharp, seems to be holding it’s edge pretty good, thumb stud open. The Ruike is a bit more money and is a flipper(Fenix owns Ruike but I think Sanrenmu makes all these)
@ Blackbeard. … Thanks for the mention of Ruike Knives, I checked out their Web Site & they have some interesting knives.
I did find this info on the website interesting. It seems for inquiries & service support the email address is Fenix Light…. see below, copied from Ruike website & pasted here:
I have this Ganzo and its a very good knife with axis lock but the fit and finish is rough, good for the money and the design (stolen from Ontario Rat) but far behind the Sanrenmu Land.
The Land 9103 is easily the best budget knife for the money! This knife is just perfect with excellent steel and should worth much more.
Gocomma knifes I don’t have any but they look like random noname cheap knifes and I really don’t like the design of them.
Sanrenmu = Land = Ruike = Real Steel = OEM for big knife brands
@ Omega_17 … Spend $9.99 on one of the GoCommas we are talking about & I bet you will change your mind real quick.
The fit n’ finish is much better than any of the Ganzos I have & as I have said before…. equal to any of my Benchmades & better than a few of them I am sad to say. Sad because I love my Benchmades… but it is what it is.
There is nothing cheap looking about the GoComma when you are holding it in your hand.
The only thing about the SRM Land 910+ and 9104 that I didn’t like was its weight so I just made cf scales for the 910+ and a single cf front scale for the 9104.
Never gonna do that again, countersinking ball bearings and washers on the inside and the screw head on the outside and then allign all the other holes was way too much work
I wish they’d do a G10 version with a fat G10 front scale though, tough enough for most jobs and much lighter than 2 steel liners, even when skelletonized.
