If I did not want any trace of a rose tint, which emitter of the 3D or 7A would I choose?

and which Carclo would give the MOST flood? 10509?

thanks to those ‘in the know’.

Between 3D & 7A… 3D for sure.

Not sure about the optics… I’ll look it up in a bit if someone doesn’t chime in.

Edit: YEP, Carclo 10509 is it for more flood. You can get them HERE

Yes the 10509 will be the floodiest (wide frosted)

Than 10508 (medium frosted)

As far as the emitter goes, between 3D and 7A, 3D is the safer option.

But remember you can always do an emitter swap for something else instead.

And yeah, overall 10509 is the floodiest option of the Carclo 105xx series.
Although if you just want a wide beam then there’s always the elliptical optic as an option Big Smile

Glad you got it figured correctly when you used the ‘correct variables’ instead of your earlier faulty assumption ones. Thumbs Up

The only way to be sure of no rosy tint is to get an LED known to have green tint, however the blackbody line does intersect the 3D quadrangle while all of the 7A quadrangle is below it. That is to say, 3D is allowed to be a little bit rosy, or not rosy at all. 7A is always supposed to be rosy (however Cree doesn’t always hit its tint specs).

I was #1055 on the new list and got my PM right on schedule at 6:49pm EST – woohoo! Order placed for one in 3D, and I will be purchasing another one as soon as the SST-20 is ready.

Thank you again for all of the hard work on this!!! I am so excited to get this light.

I’m already on the list for one but I’d like to add a second if that’s possible.

This is an exciting time.

I guess nobody can say when the SST-20 will be available?
