I used to carry a fullsize Jansport, which eventually became my “parachute”. Got tired of something that big, so now got one of those smaller MOLLE-capable bags and have crap hanging off it only as needed.

Does anyone know about the R3+ emitters in this headlamp? I’m guessing given the very inexpensive cost it’s a modest LED. Is there a good reference database to compare emitters? Can this be powered by 3x 10440s or would I have to use alkaline batteries? Thanks in advance, and apologies, I’m new to the, um, obsession.

I went molle-crazy and got everything from “waist-bags” to hold extra crap on the side (all different sizes/shapes), to a holster for my SP32Av2, to a water-bottle holder in case it looks like rain and I can drop a folding umbrella in there, you name it.
Really, really nice, lots of useful features you don’t even think you need, ’til you do, like a through-hole where the top strap attaches, so you could hold a set of windshield wipers in there if you wanted to.
Considering that some small “waist-bags” the size of a small paperback book can go for 10bux, the fact that these beasties go for as little, is absolutely stunning.
That’s why I got like 4 of ’em.
